JERUSALEM (CNN) -- As Israeli diplomats departed for Russia on Tuesday to discuss deep concerns about Iran's nuclear facilities, acting Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said the Jewish state cannot allow Tehran to acquire nuclear weapons under any circumstances.

Israel will wipe their butts with the raghead silicone based ethnics of Iran. I am all for Israel doing what the EC and the US hasn't the intestinal fortitude to do.
Ping
OH OH Can you say Smackdown IDF style????
Israel can't accomplish the Iranian problem alone.
As for suggesting we (U.S.) doesn't have the intestinal fortitude......Get a clue.
What we have taken on (head on) and accomplished in the last 3 1/2 years is historically amazing. To suggest we should be running into another *shooting* war with Iran (prior to looking at all options) is either recklessly foolish....or spoken by someone who won't have their as$ in the sand doing any of the actual fighting.
War is hell and there is no good military option to the current situation within Iran.
That doesn't mean we won't have to go with that option and make it successful....but what it means is exactly what our CIC has said from the very beginning (since Sept 11th)...this war will be fought at the times and places of OUR choosing.....not that of our enemies...and especially not at the times of armchair generals.
If and when the Iran situation is taken on via a military option it will be done by us (U.S.) and several NATO nations. Israel will not be involved.
If Israel wiped Iran off the maps, They will be more hated by the Muslim community, But I guess you do what you have to do for your survival knowing that those people deny your past sufferings.
Israel is going to be hated by the usual suspects both inside and outside the Muslim world, but they'll prevail.
If the situation can wait until Hillary is the President, she may do it. But that's almost 3 years away. I don't know if that will be too late.
Your statement about the US is dead on and I am corrected with respect to the US not having cojones. The EC community are a bunch of weenies though.
They did if before in 1981. This isn't international politics to them, this is survival.
This is 2006 and the two situations are not comparable in any way whatsoever. As Israel fully understands.
Without a doubt this is a serious situation (Iran) and progressing into an even more serious one......
We are in full agreement here (the Brits not included).
As for Israel getting the job done. They basically can't by themselves (they don't have the needed air assets). Unless they go nuclear.
Which I simply don't see happening. First we (U.S.) have over 200,000 + U.S. personnel in that region...and secondly going nuclear is opening up Pandora's box. Not a viable option.
Yes, it is 2006, Israel does fully understand, and the situation are very similar...Israel again facing the specter of nuclear weapons while the rest of the world plays politics.
Israel's intelligence and operationally abilities have not remained stagnate since 1981.
You seem to have an understanding of the matter.
We may not agree on all things, but one way or another, Iran is in big trouble, and everyone knows it.
Tehran is likely to see some big fireworks if they do not get their act together soon.
Iran's nuclear facilities are dispersed throughout a dozen (+) locations at distances that stretch IAF to its limits.
Iraq nuclear facility (lone) was sitting in one location and was hit completely by surprise (this is not the same situation whatsoever. Iran is expecting a strike).
Israel does not have the needed SEAD aircraft nor logistics aircraft to pull this off alone. Unless they plan on sending the majority of their pilots on a one way trip (which wouldn't bold well for Israel's survival for more then 30 days afterwords).
The Iran situation is growing more dangerous. But there is still time. They are well over 15 + months away from producing any type of nuclear weapon.
See my post #13 for additional comments.

We're in agreement here.
Remember the 7 day war? This may very well be the seven minute war.
Umm....If Israel wipes Iran off the map, the Muslims will be very respectful for a long, long time. Bullies tend to get arrogant in the face of weakness and meek in the face of strong resistance. Unfortuntely, Israel has all but forgotten this.
Why use pilots? Why not long range missiles?
