Chris Matthews calls bin Laden an "over the top Michael Moore"; Democrats react furiously
Chris Matthews on MSNBC ^ | January 19, 2006 | nwrep

Posted on 01/19/2006 6:49:18 PM PST by nwrep

Reacting to the new Bin Laden tape, Chris Matthews referred to Osama Bin Laden as an "over the top Michael Moore", which drew laughters from the guest Joe "Hairplug" Biden. Click the link above to view the exchange.

This insightful comment has drawn strong condemnation from the Michael Moore fan-club sites like Deep Underground (a.k.a. Dumb UnAmericans, or simply DU).

One poster writes: "Matthews YOU FREAK, HOW MANY PEOPLE HAS MOORE KILLED? How many people has your boy bush sent to their deaths How many times have you encouraged the public to support the religion of death I hope their is such a thing as KARMA, and you receive what you spit out in spades"

Another one intones: "how many oscars has osama won? how many feature length movies has osama made?"

The Moonbat left, composed of jobless Queer Studies majors and frustrated communist homosexuals is providing great laughs again.

What a laugh. The Lefties Energizer bunny drum beat is the profiteering Bush-Cheney-Halliburton-war relationship. Of course they never point out their hero Klintoon was happy as a mouse with no-bid Halliburton contracts in the Balkan operation? Which brings me to hypocrite Democrat poster-boy Michael Moore.

He bashes the war, evil capitalists, Halliburton, pharmaceuticals and big oil in his films with relish for profit at the expense of the gullible. Guess what? His recent (FOIA) stock records show he owns thousands of shares of Halliburton, and others on his hit list! Kerry’s wife had thousands of shares during the Clinton years. The Cheney angle? See FactCheck.org.

The Left needs to go shopping for a new conspiracy theory.

"I think some Dems are finally getting tired of losing."

They aren't intelligent enough to moderate any of the moonbat idiocy the party has supported for decades.

They're fanatics. They aren't going to change until they've been destroyed forever.

Ask the irate writers how does OBL's message differ from Michael Moore's blatherings?

Both he and OBL were opposed to American action in Afghanistan.

Michael Moore had prolonged the war in Iraq by giving false hope that the US would cut and run, helping to foment terrorist recruiting and activity. Just like OBL

Michael Moore did put on an explosive belt and blew himself up. Oh no, that was Team America. So neither OBL nor Michael Moore are good at getting other people killed but not themselves.

They thought they tried that by going with John F-ing Kerry in 2004. Look where it got them.

The Democrats cannot be trusted with national security.

Unfortunately, the Republicans can't be trusted with domestic policy.

"Satire?"

Much to my surprise, it is not satire.

Chris may be on the verge of getting "cut off" by Laura O'Donnell.

For once, Chrissy Matthews nails it.

He does come up with a gem every once in a while. I wonder who does his writing?

Are these the weeds of the 60s now gone to seed?

More like the weed of the 60's now gone to stems and seed.

Ditto. At least OBL doesn't pretend to be an American.

The DU poster has a point- bin Laden hasn't made any movies. Maybe he isn't as bad a Michael Moore.

"how many oscars has osama won? how many feature length movies has osama made?"

I can see it now: Humpback Mountain, the story of the special relationship between a jihadist and his camel.

I got sucked into a doozy like this one last week, only to discover it was complete and utter satire. So now, when I hear that sucking sound, I ask first. It's keeping me sane.

This past Monday, the Golden Globe for best foreign language film was given to the Palestinian director of Paradise Now. The film follows two Palestinian youths who set out to commit a suicide bombing in Tel Aviv. One of the producers " is happy that thanks to his film, it is possible to relate to Palestinians not just in negative contexts such as terrorist attacks, but also in artistic contexts."

Well there you have it.
