A group of Latino singers plans to release a Spanish-language version of "The Star-Spangled Banner" to coincide with the Senate's debate on immigration legislation this week........recording it in a show of support for migrants in the U.S.
Congressional debate over immigration bills proposing everything from toughened border security .....

Hard to erase the spectacle of illegal invaders preaching the politics of invasion, and The Plan to overthrow the US government, annex the
southern orders, conspire with foreign government(s) to wage war against the US, to allow foreign government(s) to occupy the lower states.
Jose can you see....?
The Chinese version goes like this:
All say can you eat ...
I guess el presidente will really like this version.
.........with a dash of monosodium glutamate.........
I grew up in the Central Valley of California and I was about 9 years old before I realized that our national anthem wasn't about some guy named José from Milwaukee, which at that time was the "Home of the Braves".
Thus the benefits of a California public skool egication.
Putting out a Spanish version of the U.S. National Anthem is going to win a lot of friends. It will simply accentuate one of the major problems with assimilation. It isn't happening!
LOL!
Can they sing...we are scre*ing over, every single one of you Gringo's and you can't do anything about it in spanish?
Can they sing thank you slick stupid American politicians for helping us scr*w over every one of your voters in spanish?
Okay, time for Doctor Pedant to sound off:
I'd wager most of us are all over migrants, as a general class, coming to the US. Migrants are great. Yessir. Immigrants even cooler. My Mom was English, my paternal grandfather was a German. And so on and so forth.
The Post, has got to be careful not to get sucked into the first trick of this enemy: They're arguing in support of migrants. We're arguing against ILLEGAL immigrants.
I'm against, strongly against, the illegal use of firearms. I am pro 2nd Amendment. I'm strongly against drunk driving. I enjoy driving and I enjoy drinking -- just not both at once. (Just got back from St. Croix and am a convert to single barrel rum.)
So the enemy says,"We're for migrants. How can you scum oppose us? You must be racist, nativist pigs!" To which the correct reply is, "Oh GOOD! We're on the same side then. WE're for migrants too! We're just against illegal behavior generally and, as an instance, against migrants who break the law when they come here." (Then you pop 'em in the snoot for calling you a pig.)
Main point, and I do have one, is: don't let the other side define the issue or choose the vocabulary.
The intent of American immigration policies was always to invite others in, to blend into the culture, to become American...........AND foreswear allegiance to a foreign power.
"A group of Latino singers plans to release a Spanish-language version of "The Star-Spangled Banner""
That should be a felony and add the murdering of it by so called entertainers "singing" it in english.
LOL....good one.
Great - this will crush them down a bit further. I take this as a demand to make Spanish the official language of the U.S.
Pickapeppa Sauce is a Jamacian thing. Salsa Huichol's much more Latin and the real deal to boot.
True, but Pickapeppa has such a nice ring to it, and made a great header.....LOL.
It made me laugh out loud! ; )
LOL. Yeah....me too. Don'tcha just love the sound of "Pickapeppa?"
I heard clips this afternoon on KOGO and KFI in Southern CA and it sounded worse than cats in heat.
