Some years ago, just after I joined Free Republic, I had a bit of a tiff with Howlin. After going back and forth about a piece of legislation Clinton had signed making a ten year limit for former Presidents to get Secret Service protection, I asked her if she could read English.

Now being curt is the norm for me, but I soon came to realize what a lovely and loving person she was. Of the MANY disagreements I have had here, hers is the only one I remember and regret.

May the Lord in Heaven give her Peace and gather her Mom into His loving embrace, and may Howlin forgive me.
