A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos): 7.19.06
yahoo.com, whitehouse.gov ^ | Wednesday July 19, 2006 | GretchenM

Defying the will of Congress (remember these votes in November!), President Bush sent a veto message (read the president's message here), that he would not sign HR 810, the "Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act of 2005."

President Bush addressed the situation in Lebanon while meeting with members of Congress in the White House.

Secretary of State Rice met at the State Department today: New Zealand's Minister of Foreign Affairs Winston Peres, and Belgium's Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht. Next week she is scheduled to attend Southeast Asia's top security forum.

I agree! See my post #123 above. ;*)

You are right about that thread. I could not believe the ignorance of the subject. The most ignorant were the ones yelling the loudest. *shaking head*

Well, in my youth mini-skirts were in, and Condi's hemline is pretty conservative compared to 1968's styles. LOL!

And probably a lot of those whiners are libertarians who don't think the government should do ANYTHING...except maybe on their own pet issues.

I had to get off and ... well, I abandoned the dogs today. It was just too hot for me and the dogs. So I drove to the mall and mall walked. Haven't had to do that in two years. We've had fairly pleasant summers until this one.

Oh, yeah I remember the mini-skirts well.

Now, they were dangerous. You had to be very careful of your movements. One of the salesmen where I worked would announce the color of the panties that the salesgirls were wearing. They had to bend a little and he kept an eagle eye out! (ha)

After going to the mall, I must report many fashion disasters. (but Condi is not one of them)

I'll have to leave that in your very capable hands, Ohio.

I've done all I can do with that bunch.

If I could impress one fashion rule on American women, it would be this:

Just because you can get it buttoned doesn't mean it fits!

We've had fairly pleasant summers until this one.

In TEXAS????? I was there the summer of 1998. Bought a t-shirt that said, "I survived the Texas heat wave of 1998" loaded a moving truck and headed north! LOL!

Pity really, I loved everything about Texas except the heat!
