Here’s how the 2006 mid-term election was stolen.

Note the past tense. And I’m not kidding.

And shoot me for saying this, but it won’t be stolen by jerking with the touch-screen machines (though they’ll do their nasty part). While progressives panic over the viral spread of suspect computer black boxes, the Karl Rove-bots have been tunneling into the vote vaults through entirely different means.

For six years now, our investigations team, at first on assignment for BBC TV and the Guardian, has been digging into the nitty-gritty of the gaming of US elections. We’ve found that November 7, 2006 is a day that will live in infamy. Four and a half million votes have been shoplifted. Here’s how they’ll do it, in three easy steps:

I didn't bother to read his article but I'm guessing he skipped discussing Philly, Milwaukee, New Mexico, King County etc?

So let's add it up: Greg is asking us to coddle the stupid, and basically forget about identification verification. This is, again, what he had to say in 2000. It was stupid then, it's stupid now.

Actually Greg is alleging that Democrat Elections officials who were elected by the people in those voting districts are intentionally throwing out valid votes by minority voters.

It is true that there have been generally more invalid ballots in areas with heavily minority populations. However, those areas also generally have Democrat elections officials.

There are so many obvious lies in Gregory's statements that only idiots that will believe any kind of weak conspiracy theory will place any value in his comments. However, that appears to be an appallingly large portion of the public.

Palast, you paranoid whiner, shut up! You think only Democrat votes can be stolen?

This freak Palast is a waste of bandwidth, his jump the shark moment was his hatemongering screed "Good Riddance Gipper" written literally within minutes of the news of the death of Ronald Reagan.

FR should be a Palast-free zone. If SOBs like Ted Rall are banned, certainly Palast should be too.

Same old liberal play. Point to special information that only you are privy to. Then claim that nobody else can deny it. Finally, declare the debate over and yourself the winner.

How can we steal an election we will likely lose by a hair?

Lesseee. Getting rid of questionable registrations (like dead people), requiring ID to prove you're allowed to vote (rather than a corrupt vote stealing swine) and throwing out the ballots of people too stupid to check their ballot and / or get help with them is stealing an election.

RIIIIGHT.

If they lose the House, hug a moonbat tonight. They'll be very very very depressed!

Absolute crap. All the indications are that Democrat vote fraud attempts are widespread, and failing, as always. Lies beget lies, my friend. And Democrats are literally made of lies.

I am astonished at what I am reading in the news today. and They wonder why we are considered stupid around the world. Fistfights at the polls, bomb threats, a voter smashing one of the machines, people INSISTING in Georgia that their votes magically "changed" - it's really embarrassing how desperate these people are becoming.

Isn't it strange that I've been voting all of my adult life and I've never had ONE PROBLEM. No problem READING the ballot, no problem using the screens, and no problem identifying myself and getting to the correct polling place. I guess I am just magaically lucky?

And Webb has ALREADY FILED SUIT before the votes are even counted, because people were "threatened with arrest" if they voted? ROTFLMAO - oh yeah, that would really keep me from voting, I'd fall on the floor!

don't provisional ballots by law have to be checked and counted if valid?

I don't know about current law, but I remember this came up in the 2000 election. In some states (I don't remember which) provisional ballots had been tossed because they were irrelevant. If there were, say, 100,000 provisional ballots and the winner was ahead by 150,000 votes, even if ALL the provisional ballots went to the loser, he would still be the loser. So there was no point in spending the time and money to hand count them.
