If you look up the word 'debate' in a dictionary, you'll see that it has a very different meaning than 'hijack.'

Others were doing the former, you were doing the latter.

There is no point in arguing with people who care about finding the main rational for this war. You can say your peace that you think it doesn't matter and move on, but getting into a debate over how others should feel about it is decidedly unhelpful.
