Size matters when croc meets shark

An extraordinary encounter between two of natures most fearsome man-eaters has been photographed by an amateur fisherman.
Indrek Urvet said that he watched in astonishment as a four-metre (13ft) saltwater crocodile made swift work of a much-smaller bull shark by the remote Daly River in the Northern Territory. I just saw this big croc come charging out of the water with a shark flapping in its jaws. I turned my boat to take some photos. Suddenly the croc saw me. He turned around and came shooting towards me.
Mr Urvet, who said that fishermen on the river frequently lost their catch to the bull sharks before they could reel it in, retreated and watched from a safer distance as the crocodile devoured the metre-long shark.
Bull sharks, which grow to 3.5m, are known to be highly aggressive and, unlike other marine sharks, can dwell for extended periods in both fresh and saltwater.

I thought crocs fed in the water. Guess this one saw an advantage of feeding on dry ground.

Or that the fisherman who just happened to have a camera caught the small shark and put it on the beach and backed off with his camera to await a scavenging croc I mean crock :)

Might have taken the shark there to wait for it to die. I had an alligator that would hold fish in the air until they quit moving. Then down the hatch.
I’d like to see a 13’ croc up against a 13’ shark.

I’ve always envisioned a scenario like this, but you’re right, a 13 ft. croc vs. a 13 foot shark would be awesome.

Obviously a photoshopped image.
I've seen it before and it was Hillary eating the shark not a croc.

Croc meets shark meets Democrat. Now THAT would be a battle of nature’s most dangerous creatures!

My money would be on the croc because of it’s “armor” and the way their mouth works. OTOH, a long fight underwater? The shark.
Nice KO on the DUmmy!

Bull Sharks are the #1 people-eater by far. They dwell in shallow water, brackish water and range far up the world's rivers. Unlike the unfairly tarred Great White (which only seems to bite people by accident) the Bulls are a true eatibus anythingus and are most often found in the same waters where people congregate.

True, bull sharks have been found in the Mississippi River in Illinois! However I’d say that tiger sharks are the “eatibus anythingus”; things ranging from people to license plates to tires to suits of armor have been found in their stomachs! They’re like the dumpsters of the oceans.

I thought it was Hillary eating the croc. Or was that Hillary being a croc?
