Atlanta television just broke into regular programming to announce Jewel’s death. Cause of death is still uncertain. He was a police officer in the Meriweather County force.

AP has picked up the story. Noteworthy that they leave out the part where he successfully sued NBC News and other news media for destroying his reputation based on unnamed sources, having never once been arrested or charged. As usual, the media ignores their own crimes.
