I love Ted's movie reviews as it is one way I can screen out the dreck coming out of tinseltown these days, so I was quite surprised to see him give this one a good review. I would never have guessed Cusack would make a movie like this; I would have thought it would be one bush bash/anti iraq war fest after another. Surprising.

Cusaks a fine actor. I don’t know about his politics.

I would have thought it would be one bush bash/anti iraq war fest after another.

That's because it is an anti-American film.

I enjoy Ted's movie reviews as well, especially in that they make sure I can avoid film where there is upper frontal male nudity, smoking, or disrespect towards authority.

Kidding aside, he does do a decent job. And this doesn't necessasarily have to be a pro- or anti- war story, just a realistic one.

Whats that movie Cusak was in? where he is in the back of a garbage truck for some reason and as it passes under bridge one black fellow looks down and says to the other “look at that! somebody threw away a perfectly good whiteboy”!

Amazing. These Hollywood Whores will give up their beliefs as soon as some filmmaker ponies up the cash. If its a Bush bashing pack of lies with inflated numbers of Iraqi civilian casualities they want to take the starring role. But they will sell out even if its pro troops which they are not.

He gave about the only bad review of No Country For Old Men I have seen. I still really want to see it. Too bad the sorry excuse for a theater in my town still hasn’t played it.

The liberals, and in some cases ‘conservatives’, like it because it is a female serving:

“Men of America, what’s wrong with you? These women were in Iraq doing your job! . . . Would you send your wife downstairs at 2 a.m. to investigate a suspicious noise? If there’s a fight on the corner, would you send your sister to break it up? It’s the same thing.”

Gee. Sounds like a real crowd-pleaser.

Straight to DVD.

Then to the Wal-Mart $5 bin.

(Cusack) Stanley has an argument about the Iraq War with his brother, John. John takes the anti-war side, but Stanley supports his wife’s decision to defend liberty and her country

Wow - if he's able to do that in a movie and not turn green, THAT would be an Oscar-worthy performance...

I would imagine it took several dozen takes to get it right - "John, remember, in the movie you are supporting the war effort - please stop bashing the President so we can all finish and go home!"

I’m waiting for the Iraq War movie “Zarqawi is Gone”. Along with 15,000 of his fellow terrorist creeps. This movie will have a lot of violence, with Americans kicking Jihadist butt.
