I think he knows what his website says and we have to keep his feet to the fire.

Yes, conservatives have been so successful at keeping his feet to the fire for the last decade that there’s no reason to believe it can’t continue! (sarcasm, of course)

Hey, vote for the guy if that’s where your conscience leads. But I can’t find it in my conscience to vote for a man who considers some unborn human life “surplus.” I know God doesn’t see it that way.

As president he has to face the whole country not just the citizens of AZ. But God also considers Hillary and Obama who are callously unrepentant and hard of heart who haven’t seen an abortion bill that they didn’t like as far worse. God is happier to deal with individuals who err and repent than those who are confident in their own righteousness. I can pray for McCain who is closer to the truth then they are. We must also show up and vote for conservatives in the congressional vote which is the best way to keep John’s feet to the fire. That is the best strategy we have given the cards we are dealt with and I think God want’s his people to rise to the challenge and work for something. We have had it way to easy in this country and even conservatives have taken too much for granted.

As Clint Eastwood as Gunny Highway said in Heartbreak Ridge to his Marines when they face adverse situations: “You have to overcome, adapt and improvise.”

If Catholics, even just white Catholics, voted as solidly Republican as Southern Baptists, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania would be as reliably GOP as Mississippi has become.

Too many Catholics are still voting for JFK, just like too many union workers are still voting for FDR.

I believe in markets, so this really is concerning. Nevertheless, as the numbers stand today, it is a lot closer than that. In fact, McCain does well in FL, OH and even PA is closer than one might expect. Here's what I'm working on (my analysis in 2004 was pretty much dead on - cept for WI which was the closest tossup I had). Here's the map for now:

I’ll vote for conservatives downticket, and I’ll pray for whomever becomes President. But I won’t be complicit in putting either Obama or McCain in office. It’s trite but true—the lesser of two evils is still evil.

I know. Religious devotion is strongest among the older members of my extended family. So to is pulling the lever for the jackass party.

If its Hillary or Obama you will have to pray for them to be resurrected from the dead.
