“BS! It won’t end the war, just the US involvement.”

Yes, as well as helping the enemy in their planning by publicly announcing troop movements in advance.

Obama is a stooge.

Gosh, that's brilliant! Why didn't Bush think of that?

Amateurs.

The war is essentially won already. I don’t think the Iraqis, despite their ridiculous religion, want to go back to either Sadam, or AQI. I might be partially naive but I know I’m at least partially right.

“George W Bush’s courageous and steadfast leadership already ended Iraq War”

I agree. Bush was a lousy president but that statement is 100% true and he should be thanked by generations of Israelis, Iraqis, and Americans for his efforts.

Why would anyone want to join the Military when you know that every eight years the socialists come along and undo everything. All of the resources, blood, and lives lost for nothing. All of the Iraqi patriots will be slaughtered for believing in freedom. The socialists will say that “Bushes war” was a failure and never had a chance. Maybe they are right, as long as we are half socialist, we cannot be trusted by our allies.

Zero is on right now, telling the world EVERYTHING about our planned withdrawal. The mullahs in Tehran must be salivating right now in anticipation.

“sustained diplomacy on the behalf of a peaceful Iraq...”

“diplomatic effort to achieve lasting peace and security...”

“will work with the UN...”

I’m sick.

Just wait, I’m betting it won’t be more than 3 months after we withdraw when we see insurgents getting into the security forces and turning the country back on it’s head

The only way one can get rid of a religious guerilla insurgency is to stop the flow of nutheads from the neighboring fanatic states.

Everything else is like crying on a fire to put it out

This will bring Obama closer to pushing the red button on Iran.

He will have no alternative when they launch their ballistic nuke strike against Israel, and take Mecca away from the Saudis.

What an idjit.

A strategic idjit.

Why wouldn't the Iraqis give up all they've won?

We have a 233-year long tradition based on liberty and resistance to oppressive government and we're in the process right now of heaving it overboard.

Cool. Just declare 'We won, the war is over.' and that's, that.

We should have thaught of this in WWII.

After Midway we should have declared that 'we won and the war with Japan is over'. That would have avoided all that irritating Island Hopping the Marines had to do and they wouldn't have had to fight on Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, etc. Just think of all the money we would have saved. [Man-o-man, was General George Marshall and Doug MacArthur ever stupid.]

This Barry the Kenyan, and our Pretender-In-Chief, is a real military genius.
Why he's right up there with Sun Tzu!

I saw on another thread that he was speaking at Quantico and said that "...our troops suceeeded beyond all expectation..." and I thought, what scum liberals are. Speak for yourself B.O., you dirtbag.

WE expected our military to perform well, because we understand they aren't baby-killers who are taking valuable money and resources away from Turkey Basters for Lesbians and A.C.O.R.N.

WE know they are real, dedicated and talented people, not political props you POS.

Grrrrrrrr.

And his proposed budget for this year almost doubles the amount to be spent on Iran and Afghanistan for next year. I wonder what he expects to spend the money on...

Just how much are we spending on Iran???

I kid, I kid...

You are exactly right. After the U.S. leaves the terrorists, Iranians, etc. will take over and all of our men who died or were wounded will have suffered in vain. This is an immoral abomination.

We keep troops in South Korea, Germany, etc. etc. but Obama and the other socialists insist for unknown reasons that keeping troops in Iraq, to preserve the gains we have made, is wrong. They have their heads screwed on backwards.

Our odds of retaking the House in 2010 are much better than taking the Senate.

Yes. The Nam reducks. LBJ/McNamara-Clifford > Nixon/Laird > this.

Last time I checked, all parties involved have to agree that it is over, or it is not over. It is difficult for me to even begin to grasp the thinking of of those who call the contest a tie when they are winning and winning large. I thought that was what the loser does when he is getting routed: "Tie? Please?" It seems his is a foreign policy [sic] based on "a willingness to agree to disagree and live in a state of peaceful coexistence."

(thumbing through a history book for a response to that in English)

Here we are: "Good luck with that."

He can decide, declare, and proclaim all he wants, but calling it as such does not make it as much. Yessir, “Just because the cat has kittens in the oven does not make them biscuits.”

Let the troops finish the job by letting the troops do their job.

OOH-RAH!

We invaded Iraq, took out Saddam and Son's and found both a tactic and a General (Petraeus) that finally beat back the terrorists.

OTOH, Obama said he would bring the troops home.

Still, giving the terrorists a detailed notice of our future military plans, doesn't sound very smart to me. Frankly, I see this withdrawal as a premature pullout, or if you like, a cut and run strategy that will make the anti-war lefties extermely satisfied.
