Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush says he's not running for president in 2012 -- but he's not closing the door completely.
The brother of one Republican president and son of another was in Indianapolis Wednesday to tout Florida's education reforms to Indiana's Education Roundtable. Bush says he's not running for anything "right now."
"I'm focused on my own private life and trying to help others continue their public service," Bush says. "It's a secondary role, not a primary role, and it'll probably remain that way."
Bush's hedged denial of interest stands in contrast to the man at his side as he spoke, Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels. Daniels' name has been floated by some Republican insiders -- including Bush, who's called him one of the GOP's top leaders -- but Daniels has been unequivocal in declaring he won't run for president or any other elected office.
Bush praises President Obama for supporting some of the same education reforms Bush backed as governor, including charter schools. But he says he disagrees with the administration's overall path.
"I'm just very disturbed by the rapid change of who we are as a nation, or the attempt," Bush says.

Run him for Senator, but for heaven’s sake, don’t run him for Prez.
His timely endorsement of Palin would be nice, but nice just that the party won’t be dogged by the Bush name on the ballot this round.

I’m unimpressed that he is “not planning to run”.
I want to hear that he is “planning not to run”.
For fans of Jeb, the answer must be a minimum of three.
No more Bushes...no more Clintons...no more Kennedys...no more dynasties.

Jeb shows us he is a sensible, compassionate man.
Speaking as someone who experience Jeb!s work as a governor...he was kick ass.
He spent 8 full years as the state’s chief executive and kept true to conservative principles.
He did not brag about being someone who was constantly trying to ‘get along’ with Democrats. He was a leader.
He was not like G.W.B. or G.H.W.B. in that respect.
One of my favorite moments was when he was caught on camera telling an aide to tell a bunch of liberals (or was it newspaper “journalists”?) they were going to have to “GET THEIR ASSES OUT” of his offices....
Jeb! is the real deal.

I like Jeb but he is 100% pro-shamnesty, and that's the last thing we need in a 2012 candidate.
IIRC, Jeb said, the Reagan era is over, when he was w/his pal Mitt. To me, that says all I need to know.
