WARSAW — The United States aims to establish missile bases in Poland, after having scrapped plans fiercely opposed by Russia to deploy a missile shield in the country, a Polish newspaper reported Friday.
Citing Polish diplomatic sources who spoke on condition of anonymity, Gazeta Wyborcza said Washington aimed to set up a permanent short- and medium-range missile base as well as deploy mobile missile batteries.
The plan is set to take shape within days, said Gazeta Wyborcza, a leading daily that is considered well informed on the issue.
It said Andrzej Kremer, Poland's deputy foreign minister, was due to travel to Washington on Monday.

On an almost completely unrelated point, Poland needs to change their tennis commentators. I downloaded some tennis with Polish commentary & the commentators sounded like it was the 1960s Soviet Union, zero life!

And then a war will start, and we will sacrifice greatly.
If we were to place offensive weapons in Poland, how could we object to offensive weapons in Cuba?

It takes the political pressure off and could yeild the same result.”
That’s a lot of IF’s. You obviously believe in the hope is a strategy doctrine.

If I were the Polish leaders I would NOT count on Obama to keep his word regarding ANYTHING, much less military “promises”.
I believe the ONLY reason Obama is talking about pulling out of Afghanistan is because Russia has been loading up Venezuela with military hardware, and the Russians (read Communist Neo-Soviets) and the Islamic fascist terrorists are allies in the world we face today — well, allies till the US is completely a non-threat to their plans. Once we’re gone watch and see how fast they turn on each other.
That said — what in the heck is with Obama, truly? He is in WAY over his head on ALL these issues, and the world leaders (especially those of the Communist & Islamic variety) are laughing at him, and how incredibly naive he is... He’s ALL over the place - one day he says one thing, and the next it’s another. Obama is a REACTIONARY with no true understanding of the threats we face politically, economically, or militarily. God only knows what he will decide to do in the next 12 hours alone! It would be one thing if he actually HAD a plan and stuck to it — but it’s clear that is NOT the case... I don’t think he even knows what he HIMSELF believes!
So we’ll take down a missile DEFENSE in Poland...but we’ll add a missile OFFENSE? This makes no sense whatsoever!
