I’ve run into some of that already. Registered Republicans seem fine with it and we get along. Some of the Republican local leadership isn’t happy and wants me to run with an (R). I know I’d have a better chance doing so, but I’m stubborn when it comes to my principles, so I politely declined.
I can’t vote in your race but I swear to God Almighty that running as an “R” doesn’t give me tingles up my leg or influence me to vote that way.

That’s the only principle you give up.
I applaud you and your effort. Some around this place will not see principles in what you’re doing. That’s only because their only principle is voting anyone with an “R” after their name.
Reminds me of a couple I knew back in the 1980s..hardcore democrats. Didn’t matter who it was, they simply voted straight party ticket every election. Some around here are of that mentality. They vote party, not principles.
