LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas Tech fired coach Mike Leach on Wednesday, two days after he was suspended by the school as it investigated his treatment of a player with a concussion.
The school handed a termination letter to Leach's attorney, Ted Liggett, minutes before the two sides were to appear in a Lubbock courtroom for a hearing on the coach's suspension.

I was joking, but you’re right. Too many have jumped on the ESPN spin machine. My father was an alumi of Texas Tech a long time ago.
I just got a call today asking for a donation to Tech. Guess what I told them.
I did not say he died. In fact I specified ( and the age was and is 16) I said he nearly died. You said you changed your position. You wrote it in your post. perhaps you should go back and reread some
And you are crude and disgusting. Since logic is not your strong suit don’t bother responding
Have you seen the “closet” space? It’s the press room where all after game press conferences take place. sheesh
I think Chancellor Kent Hance has more credibility. If Clayton Williams had made the comments that sunk his campaign in the general election during the 1990 Republican primary, Kent Hance would probably have beaten Ann Richards for Governor of Texas.
Kent Hance, now there’s a name from the political past-former ‘rat Congressman from the West Texas area, Lubbock specifically, I guess, now Chancellor at TTU. That’s a big ol’ coulda, woulda, shoulda(not that it would have been any worse for Texas than Ma Richards). Hance, if I remember correctly was a so-called moderate(maybe conservative)’rat who changed parties and has now found a roost where many liberals, in fact, roost, i.e., major educational institutions. Hance has found his Shangri-La. Hance is no Phil Graham, one of the good party changers. But, I’ll grant you this; ol’ Clayton certainly had diarrhea of the mouth and was not cut out for politics because he tended to speak the unvarnished truth. Clayton was buddies with Dr. Red Duke(both Aggies) with kind of similar personalities and that ain’t bad.
That's how it is looking to me. At first I was agasp... poor kid put in an electrical closet etc. Yet the more I read, granted on message boards, the more I'm thinking this kid was trouble from the get go, and he (or his father) is exaggerating the facts.
Vert unfortunate, and seemingly to me so far unnecessary, turn of events for the players and fans of Texas Tech.
Exactly! It's a loser mentality that would appreciate this senario, IMHO.
Our in-state rival, Auburn, has struggled recently. While I LOVE beating them, I want the Alabama game to be the only one they lose, the better they are, the better we look beating them :)
Looking forward to Jan 7! Roll TIDE ROLL!
Some DOs ARE neurologists. I’m not guessing. I’m married to one. Do your homework
no they are not they are doctors of osteopathy. moreover, they have a different view if the body than a medical doctor. plus the particular doctor involved did NOT say what the poster here claimed
