February 17, 2010 Report: Tiger Woods Will Apologize in Public for His Behavior and Discuss Future
Golf pro will address reports of serial infidelity, his reps say. Tiger Woods will break his silence on Friday, apologize for his behavior, and talk about his future plans, Bloomberg reported on Thursday.
The announcement was e-mailed from his agent and spokesman, the report said. It came the same day as Woods' wife Elin Nordegren was spotted entering the Isleworth, Florida home Woods is reportedly renting
Woods has not been seen in public since he crashed his car outside his home the morning after Thanksgiving in 2009. Reports of affairs with as many as 14 women followed.

His (extremely) lucrative endorsement contracts depend upon his public image. If he wants to get those back to any degree whatsoever, he needs to fix his public image. Hence, a public apology.

I believe that Tiger Woods owes no one an apology except to his wife. He is not holding public office and is a professional athlete. He should just go about playing golf because his fans won’t give a crap and those of us not interested in golf give even less of a crap. STFU and play golf Tiger.
