MIAMI - Sen.Tom Coburn (R-OK) is endorsing Marco Rubio for U.S. Senate this morning, FOX has learned. Rubio is battling Gov. Charlie Crist, in the contentious Florida GOP primary for the position.

..."I proudly endorse Marco Rubio for the U.S. Senate and look forward to working with him in Washington," Dr. Coburn said. "His genuine principles and proven record are evidence that he will come to Washington and be a consistent advocate for fiscal responsibility, individual liberty and the traditional values that have made America great."

...Welcoming Dr. Coburn’s endorsement, Rubio said, "Dr. Coburn is every big-spending politician’s biggest nightmare, but he’s a source of relief for taxpayers, working families and entrepreneurs who deserve better than Washington’s current agenda. Dr. Coburn is a businessman and doctor who understands how our free market system is being threatened by Washington.

I'm ready for him to publish another book. I learned a lot from Breach of Contract, oh boy yeah:-)

And from looking at Rubio's stand on issues, he took some pointers too.

As a Floridian this Rubio best be a good guy and a REAL Conservative or he will go down like Crist.
And Crist is a RINO turd.

“Excellent. Oklahoma has the best senators”

i contacted my senator cornyn who is also head of rnsc to ask why he is supporting crist. his office told me that crist is the best candidate for the gop.

i told thenm that i would send money to support rubio, but not crist. they seem to not care.

i wish coburn would move to texas and run against cornyn, so oklahoma can produce another good us senator we could use in dc

That sounds like a threat. I don't see threats as being conservative. If you expect a candidate or office holder to agree with you 100% on everything, you are dreaming. It is not going to happen. Try another hobby.

I really don’t get John Cornyn. Sometimes he seems so decent, so focused, very much on the right track. Other times he seems completely clueless, as if he hasn’t been paying attention to anything.

I remember when Texas sent us Sen. Phil Graham. Not that he was right on every issue, but he sure knew how to wear the opposition down by annoying them. Sometimes I think the Senate Republicans are just too polite and naive to accomplish anything.

This a great pick up for Marco! Coburn is one of the true conservatives in the Senate.

Have been waiting to see this happen. Both of our Senators from OK are now supporting Rubio.

Dr. Coburn is running for re-election but yet to hear who from the Dems is going to oppose him so he will be headed back to the Senate. Looking forward to seeing Rubio join him!

No,
But I do not expect to see my Republican politician climb up obammy’s rear end like Crist did and does.
If Rubio morphs in to that kind of crap then he too will be dumped.
Do I expect a politician to agree with me 100 percent of the time? No,
But I do expect them to get the big ones correct.
Smaller govt. No Abortion,
Strong defense
Capitalism, not socialism.
Ya know the big stuff.
