Florida doctor tells Obama health care supporters to go elsewhere
Orlando Sentinel ^ | 4/02/10 | Steven Hudak

MOUNT DORA — A doctor who considers the national health-care overhaul to be bad medicine for the country posted a sign on his office door telling patients who voted for President Barack Obama to seek care "elsewhere." "I'm not turning anybody away — that would be unethical," Dr. Jack Cassell, 56, a Mount Dora urologist and a registered Republican opposed to the health plan, told the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday. "But if they read the sign and turn the other way, so be it." The sign reads: "If you voted for Obama … seek urologic care elsewhere. Changes to your healthcare begin right now, not in four years."

“She’s a nice lady but she’s big on blaming Whitey for everything.”

#####

Sorry, but the above statement includes two mutually exclusive subsets.

Well she’s nice until the subject turns to race. Is that better?

t's ALWAYS supply and demand if you look deeply enough.

Actually it's not always supply and demand - only if free market forces are allowed to work.

They work for lazik and plastic surgery because it's not controlled by the government. Then supply and demand prevails.

It was the government that came in and set the price for health care. They reimbursed at a high rate for procedures and at a low rate for visits to primary care physicians. Insurance companies followed suit.

Supply and demand has its effect on plastic surgery but it's having little effect on health care covered by medicare and medicaid.

Works for me.

However, IMHO, the racism and knee-jerk blame mentality would ALWAYS overshadow any surface niceness.

Many MDs are planning to take early retirement or just retirement if and when 0haha care impacts them.

That will create a bigger problem, when 30 million illegals become citizens and demand free care.

However, there is a bigger problem for 0haha voters, who work for small businesses. The owners of the small businesses, who for the most part are not left wingers. They know who in their work force voted for 0haha and supported the pending rape and pillage of America by 0haha’s health care program.

So, when those business owners are forced to get rid of employees to stay in business due to the enforced 0haha care, there will be a lot 0haha supporters without a job. The owners know who wanted this farce, and they will be the first to lose their jobs.

I highly respect what this individual did.. screw the ‘unhappy’ ones that seek assistance elsewhere(and drive up the ‘carbons by having to drive miles further :p)..

Sad thing is that many of the sheeple that follow this, have NO idea of what they are following. I honestly think that many of the politicians following it don’t either >.<

Pray the Americans with common sense can fix this prob within the next generation...

I see a great country swirling down the toilet to become another socialist failure if things don’t get fixed quickly... I hope that never happens.

They work for lazik and plastic surgery because it's not controlled by the government. Then supply and demand prevails.

Supply and demand also prevail because people have a choice about having these procedures. They are luxuries. People won't have them if they aren't affordable. People aren't as picky about price for life-saving treatments.

Can one legally discriminate in that way against an Obama voter? I think you can...just not on race, religion, or national origin.

Wait. Maybe voting for Obama is religion? They do think he's the Messiah.

A parallel case is the government forcing hospital workers to participate in abortions.

We know a consultant to many local businesses, and she said the good thing about a recession/economic meltdown for owners is the ability to get rid of dead wood and losers in general.

There is a poll on the right to vote on this article...at this point 85% approve of the doctor’s actions.

What you don’t understand is that literally MILLIONS of Americans will jump over the cliff for Obama today if needed.

So get out of their way. Go, lemmings, go!

Nope...it's still supply and demand. The only difference is the gov't sets the price below the equilibrium price. The result is always a shortage of that item. In this case, the shortage will be the number of doctors willing to supply their services at the price set by the gov't versus the demand for those services at the regulated (lower) price.

This is no different than the shortages in gasoline that we saw when prices were fixed back in the early 70's. Some can remember the lines that went around the block simply because there was a rumor that the gas station would get some fuel that day. Nixon thought he could hold prices down with wage and price controls. Well...he did. Prices were low. Only problem was that there was no supply offered at those prices, hence the shortages. The same thing will happen in health care.

Yes but a proctologist has a built in excuse. When confronting an obama supporter, he can say, “now listen up a**hole, you better learn who’s in charge” and INSIST he was talking to the “other” a**hole as a means of making the patient better.

My husband’s doctor started what he called VIP service. He is limiting himself to about 400 patients who are willing to pay $1500.00 extra per anum above and beyond insurance. You are supposed to get extra attention and service for the fee. This started at the first of the year and I told my husband at the time we were going to see doctors making moves to avoid the damage this healthcare bill would cause.
