Obama urges business heads to push Congress in support of climate and energy bill

Obama made the plug during a meeting Friday with his Economic Recovery Advisory Board, which includes the heads of General Electric, Caterpillar and Oracle, along with labor leaders and economists.
He told the group the climate bill — which would cap global warming emissions — is good for business and that members of Congress need to hear that.
"Individual members of Congress may be worried about the implications, at least short term," of voting for the legislation, and hearing from businesses would be reassuring, Obama said. The more business can be out front" the better, he said.

I’m not into boycotts but the businesses who go along with this thievery need to become part of a Mother of All Boycotts list. They can either side with their customers or they can side with the false “messiah”. The choice is theirs.

I agree with your statement, although I am boycotting GE whenever I can these days. The problem with GE is that they could care less right now about customers. They are looking to the government for its future revenue. Pleasing the government is easier than understanding and then pleasing the mass market.
I’m sure he asked...in the same way Frank Nitti asked speakeasy owners to buy Al Capone’s rotgut hooch.

What change? I haven’t got any left once my rent and bills are paid. I try and survive on $74 per month for groceries and other necessites and that is extremely difficult. What was worse was asking the management company of this less than 400 sq ft room to fix my fridge starting last July. They ignored me and kept ignoring me so two weeks ago my fridge became all freezer ruining all the food in the fridge and freezing my insulin. I was NOT impressed!
It sure drives up product prices, and that's what the big players want.
