A tank weighing 5,000 pounds with a 550-gallon capacity ...
And no agency - Coast Guard, Navy, DEA, etc., - saw this object in the water until it landed on the beach?

They oughtta just let anybody that knows how to separate oil from water go out there, suck up as much as they can, clean it up, and sell it. It would be clean in no time.

I read that and immediately thought of Rosie O'Donnell's comments on steel never melting. Perhaps she'll "weigh" in on this.

The equipment operator attempting to lift the tank is not too bright, in that he is trying to lift the tank when it is some feet away.

The safe, and effective way to use such equipment is position the lift in its closest position to the equipment, then attempt the lift of the load.

Gooberment employee, perhaps? Just wonderin’.
