Sen. Jeff Sessions: Under your budget, the interest increases each year. It was $187 billion in 2009, under your proposal it increases to $844 billion
Treasury Tim Geithner: Senator, absolutely, it is an excessively high interest burden, its unsustainable

The word "unsustainable" seems to be all the rage in the hussein obama administration - they claim anything and everything is unsustainable. Usually they're trying to justify some rash and ill-considered decision that expands government and/or takes away freedoms and liberties.
Well, hussein, I've got one for you: you and your administration are unsustainable. The US will be better off the quicker it can get rid of you. Is it 1/20/13 yet?
Everything Geithner said regarding the questioning before the committee had the exception of the real estate markets, a clear indication and admission that the American People are being blown a bunch of smoke. It is all BS. There are major hurdles about to rock our economy and Double Dip is in order; can you say DEPRESSION Yet? The Federal Government has NO Credibility! My prediction: PAIN
All the while Congress is asleep at the wheel in spending denial!
Senator Sessions is the best! So proud to have him as my senator.
Yep and he will get some cushy job at the UN where he is a known buildaburger NWO big shot. Or Obama will appoint him to the civil rights commission to stop all investigations that impede Holder and Obama. WAIT Obama already did that with a lesbian and progressive communist times 2.
Timmy can go to C H I C A G O to corrupt more in Obama’s billion dollar bogus campaign.
I for one do believe as you posted.
OMG!!!!
Fire! Hehe he he heheeeeheeeeeheehee Fire fire hehehe firefirefire hehehe
LOL That is just too damn funny!!!!
Oh, where is Lassie when he needs her? Little Timmy is gonna get an asswhuppin’ tonight!
There just aren’t enough Sessions and Demints and Inhofes, etc., in the senate.
Hmmmm.....your post and this entire event makes me wonder........if Hussein is starting to experience trouble in keeping his minions on the reservation. Petraeus is bailing out, little Timmy Geithner is running off at the mouth, the public employee unions are being shamed into unraveling, Napolitano got caught telling the truth about the border fence and Sebelius’s infant murder squads got caught in a sting last week.
I guess being a dictator in a republic isn’t as easy as he thought it would be.
Huh? Is he ill? What do you mean, “He doesn’t look or sound great....”?
Or the campus left-wing greenie buzzword "sustainability."
Which is actually an attractive term which we should co-opt, as in "The President's budget is utterly lacking in sustainability."
Actually, Geithner was throwing down the gauntlet, now that I actually see the video. He plainly says, yep, there it is. Now what’re YOU gonna do about it? Let’s see your ideas.
It’s a setup to demogogue the pubs as wanting to starve granny. Let’s see if the pubs can figure this out in advance and find an alternate political strategy to their usual Deer-in-the-Headlights strategy as they present budget cuts.
What this really was is the obastard administration giving congressional pubs the middle finger.
Nevertheless, to the dimwits who don’t pay attention and only pick up bits and pieces through headlines and two-minute news reports on the radio, this was a good soundbyte even though the impression taken away by the listener is totally NOT what Geithner was really saying.
And that is based on the assumption that interest rates will remain low. A return to Carter-era rates would literally mean that MOST of our expenditures would be to pay interest.
“Under the bus for Timbo!”
That’s what I was thinking. It was fun to watch him squirm under questioning. Obama is not going to be happy with him. It’s like Hillary and Tim are turning on him.
“It seems like everything out of everyones mouths these days is the word unsustainable.”
Or the other “u” word: “unexpected’.
A: "A really long time 'cause I'll just cheat on my taxes."
