Liberals bench activists strike again, or Christie didn’t do his homework in demonstrating to the court that throwing mere money at something in trouble doesn’t help it and might hurt. Or maybe both.

This Judge Doyne can only make recommendations. Now the NJ Supremes can either take up the case again or not.
This isn’t a ruling and has no force.
Need more bilingual education.

Asbury Park spends almost 25k per student per year, and has the lowest SAT scores in the country for a school system that size. 88% or so of Asbury Park school system budget comes from other towns.
In 2009 Camden taxpayers paid less than 5% of the 360M budget. Slightly over 18k per student. Again, some of the worst results of any school district in the 1st world.
Heading towards a final collapse if the courts demand the next $1.6B this year.
The heck with all of this rubbish.
The problem isn’t a billion here or a billion there. The problem is that we have public eduction at all.
Remember, that public school systems started in the mid-to-late 19th century.
I can imagine a future in which our descendants view warehousing children in big education factories much the same as we view the one-room country schoolhouse — i.e. something quaint and outmoded.

If the money really was used on the kids it would be one thing. But it isn’t. Before I home schooled I was sending in supplies when my older now adult children were in school. That was in the 80s. I live here in NJ & the school system where I live is terrible. When my youngest was in school for 3 yrs I got involved in that crazy PTA & even attended Board of ED meetings. What I learned there really angered me. Cell phones bills of 15 grand. Money spent on silly things. And the superintendent of schools was earning far too much money then he was worth. I see little point in public school. It is cheaper & easier for me to home school even with buying books, workbooks & the online school fee. The best part is we’re having fun learning things together. If more parents got involved & went to BOE meetings I think they would be shocked to see what really goes on. But they don’t & then complain when the taxes go up. If you aren’t aware of what is going on then you have yourself to blame when you pay more.
This judge is simply helping the teacher’s union in it’s unending quest for more members. Should be impeached so he can work directly for the union.
Inevitably, the Courts overturn any budget cutting.

Like Ralph Kiner. He led the league in home runs and went to management asking for a raise. He was told they could finish in last place without him.
Actually, Christie didn't even need to do that at all. Check this quote out from the article:
"Despite spending levels that meet or exceed virtually every state in the country, and that saw a significant increase in spending levels from 2000 to 2008, our 'at risk' children are now moving further from proficiency," he said.
That quote isn't from anyone in the Christie administration. It's from the jack@ss judge who just made this decision calling the education cuts unacceptable!

The courts have been the most significant force in land development and the situation in the schools in New Jersey. There is no law, only judicial tyranny.
That's not the only problem. Camden? Asbury Park? These are populations of uneducatable animals.
So where’s the money supposed to come from? Here’s an idea. How about from the judge! Cut the judicial budget in half. And since when is an education a constitutional guarantee?
The right to a thorough and efficient education is in the New Jersey Constitution.
Like they were all that thorough and efficient before the cuts.
