American actress Daryl Hannah is arrested in front of the White House along with other environmental protesters opposing a planned oil pipeline from Canada to the US Gulf Coast.
Hannah was released after paying a $100 fine, following her arrest for failure to obey a lawful order, said US Park Police spokesman Sergeant David Schlosser.
More than 70 people were arrested in the Tar Sands Action protest on Tuesday, which is named after efforts to block the proposed Keystone XL pipeline project to bring oil sands petroleum from Canada to Texas refineries.

She is active in that issue as well...cosmetics as possible toxics..
Heard her on Hannity. And I’ve heard her before on these issues. She does practice what she preaches to a very large degree. Of course she can afford to, but thats beside the point. And she comes across as likable and knowledgable. Not a ditz at all.
Still. She is still a totalitarian on these issues. Protesting like this means she wants to shut down oil gathering and moving operations that other people who choose to use, or rely on these prodocts, in this case, oil. That means she doesn’t want “you” to have access to affordable energy because she has decided, for whatever reason, that you should not have it. That is the essence of Totalitarianism.

I wonder how Mz. Hannah made her way to D.C. Surely she walked or used a bicycle, right? Even electric cars would be too ‘ungreen’ for her, what with all the batteries that would end up having to be disposed of. . .right?

Too small, too erratic, have to continually start over when figuring out what to do with the dumb asterisk. Many times I click on "users" and get "title" popping up instead......this feeble feature is a total insult to freeper searchers.
Why more people don't protest is beyond my comprehension. No one seems to care including management. It's a tool I'd like to utilize more fully, but the frustrations exceed the utility. My comments are confined to just getting the little box itself to work...a real pain.
Am I the cheese standing alone in this mini-protest?

That’s nice but it doesn’t really matter. The only way the anti-CO2 zealots will get what they actually want is that Hannah drives her car into the ocean. There’s zero chance of meeting any of their CO2 targets running every vehicle on 100% ethanol. The only way of doing it is to cut driving to 25% or less of the current amount. Likewise heating fuels at 25% and forget about A/C. Her tokenism may seem like she’s doing something, but she’s not.

It really is not the best search box one has experienced.
Since Hannah will be 52 in December her best bikini days may be behind her....thus sparing our eyes from an up-to-date reality photo.
She is a strict vegan, drives a car that runs on biodiesel fuel (whatever that is).......and has never married despite two longish affairs including the one with JFK Jr.
Eco-whackiness activism keeps her name in the spotlight during the inevitable flagging-career days of life's autumn.....although it has to be said she's not an eco-phony but a genuinely true believer in the cultish Religion of Green.
