MEXICO CITY (AP) -- Police found a woman's decapitated body in a Mexican border city on Saturday, alongside a handwritten sign saying she was killed in retaliation for her postings on a social networking site.

The gruesome killing may be the third so far this month in which people in Nuevo Laredo were killed by a drug cartel for what they said on the internet.

...most of your hair coloring products
...a lot of your cookie and candy products...ie, Fig Newtons, York chocolate....

I will not buy Mexican.....not with the continuous headlines of illegals, drug cartels and decapitations/gruesome murders, and their attitude toward the US....UGH!

I personally cannot imagine a high standard concerning our products made there and sold back to us!

Government is for lining the pockets of those in power.

If either the Mexican or the US bureaucracies actually did anything about the drug problems where would they get all of that War On Drugs money to siphon off?

They'd lose a lot of cash and head count.

None of the Drug Warriors want the problem to go away or even lessen.

They depend on it for jobs.

Legalizing drugs won't give us less abuse of narcotics.

We will end up with more people living under the influence of drugs throughout out society.

The junkies' children will be our collective problem.

More stoned drivers will be behind the wheel of automobiles.

Legalizing drugs does not address the problem of people abusing drugs and choosing irresponsible behavior to the detriment of all of society.

Oxymoronic, much? What do you call executing drug dealers? Garsh, sounds a lot like a "war on drugs". Call it a different name if you want, but it's still the same battle. So, let's be clear. You ARE in a favor of a "War on Drugs", you just want it fought differently than is currently being waged.

It’s a tempting solution to grasp at, but is not clearly thought through. Street crime would go up, not down, because now you would have even more psychopaths out there that cannot support themselves, and need to find the money for guns, bling, street rides,and all the other necessities of life for gang-bangers and thugs.

You obviously overlooked the easy solution for all of this. You see those that want an end to the "War on Drugs" do realize that usage would skyrocket, so to keep the millions of new druggies from committing crimes for their fixes, they want the government do distribute drugs for FREE. Of course, NOTHING is actually free, so, yes, they want you and I to pay for the state-produced meth that will destroy millions of lives and cripple society. But, hey, at least we ended the War on Drugs.

You're right about many people using drugs to “tune out”. This culture is enforced by the popularity of abusing alcohol, a mind-deadening drug.

However, many drugs actually allow you to “tune in” and interpret reality in such ways that it opens your mind to a deeper understanding of reality, yourself, and those close to you. I think it's an outright crime to completely prohibit psychedelic research and therapy. For example, MDMA (Ecstasy) was actually released as an Rx drug and used very successfully in therapy until a few people started abusing it to "tune out". It is still used successfully in secret by many therapists.

(This was written by a young Indian girl who was in jail for drug charges, and was addicted to meth. She wrote this while in jail. As you will soon read, she fully grasped the horrors of the drug, as she tells in this simple, yet profound poem. She was released from jail, but, true to her story, the drug owned her. They found her dead not long after, with the needle still in her arm.)

Answer my question that you ignored before; do you believe in abolishing Constitutional rights in the name of the war on drugs, specifically asset forfeiture laws that allow corrupt drug cops(a preponderance of them are corrupt) to confiscate your property without due process of law?

Simple question. Answer it.

Millions of otherwise law-abiding Americans in jail, meaning they consume taxes rather than pay them.
Hundreds of billions of dollars absolutely and completely wasted, adding to our current deficit woes.
Confiscation of private property AS A GOVERNMENT PROFIT CENTER over the thinnest excuses.
“No knock” raids that regularly kill innocent people and pets.
An almost unlimited expansion of American authoritarianism along with continual erosion of privacy and civil rights.

It boggles my mind that so few see the “solution” is far worse than the “problem”. Prosecute people for crimes that affect others, not personal choices. Continue to expand personal carry so people can defend themselves instead of relying on a “never there when you need ‘em” police force. And above all, educate people on the actual, proven risks of drugs instead of over-the-top propaganda that knowledgeable people laugh at.
