At the end of the day you’ll probably be right; these cases do seem to sort out that way.
If I were her defense attorney I still would make the equal protection argument that she’s being unconstitutionally targeted relative to others with culpability. I don’t know if she ultimately would be successful with that although I think it’s worth making some noise.
Maybe this case will be different. The case is being brought by the DA’s public corruption unit, and some sources have stated “top law enforcement” — whatever that is — were among the clients.
