Does the 37% of the Republican Party that will not vote for Trump in November worry the Democrats too?

They neither worry about it, nor care about it, because they know that the 37% figure is nonsense. Either way, it is now irrelevant. In a dramatic shift over the last few years, ~40% of all voters are now independents, a group which Trump owns (in a big way). So a small loss of Republican voters (smaller than even the 37%), makes much less difference than it would have 5 years ago. Add to that the swing of blue collar Democrats to Trump, which is scaring both the Democrats and the unions to death, and Hillary and the Democrats have more than enough nightmare material. At least, if Trump wins the nomination. If Trump were replaced by Cruz, however, ...

One of the exit polls on Tuesday night revealed that among Republicans, about the same percentage said they would not vote for Cruz. And about the same percentage said they would not vote for Kasich... although, to be fair, that was taken over only three states.

The percentage of Bernie voters who say they'll not support Hillary is about the same.

It's been a hotly contested race. Emotions among supporters has been high, to say the least. We will unite.

“Does the 37% of the Republican Party that will not vote for Trump in November worry the Democrats too?”

Even if that were true, which it certainly is not, no one would be able to know it; it is one of those statements people grab out of thin air.

If I were a Cruz-bot, and a pollster asked me if I would vote for Trump, I would say no, of course. You never know the agenda behind some of these pollsters.

What happened when the big %. Of evangelical repubs stayed home rather than vote for mitt who they didn’t think was a real christian?

Again this year, the “repubs” that choose to sit home will result in 8 more years of obammi policy

Well I know I won’t vote for Cruz now even if he is the nominee. If he wins fine but I will not vote for him.

The only people who worry about THAT statistic are those who believe in made-up stuff.

When folks still have a dog in the fight the pollsters love those BS assumptions. I project it might be as little as 5% this time around because many on the right are awakening to the fact that Cruz was not what he claimed to be... and Trump is turning out to be exactly what he claims to be.

“Does the 37% of the Republican Party that will not vote for Trump in November worry the Democrats too?”

You mean the 37% who make that claim, eight months away from the general election, when they still hold out some small hope for a different nominee?

Wait until they’re faced with the prospect of having helped elect Monica Lewinsky’s boyfriend’s wife. The vast majority of them will have had their ‘come to Jesus’ moment by then.
