How long will it take Trump to repeal ObamaCare? (Vanity)
4/23/2016 | Myself

The ObamaCare tax penalty for 2016 is egregious. It seems it was created to cripple the economy of the next incoming president by hamstringing American taxpayers. The ObamaCare tax penalty for 2016 is either the average cost of a bronze plan for however many months you didn't have coverage or 2.5% of your income, whichever is greater. I used an online ObamaCare tax penalty calculator. So if you are a married couple making $50,000 per year and you couldn't afford the marketplace premiums for the whole year, you would pay $2,085. That's a pretty big payment just for insurance and it is money that won't go back into the economy. This amount is assuming the price of these plans stays at their present levels which we all know they won't.

So my question is how long will it take Trump to repeal ObamaCare? Can he not suspend the ObamaCare tax without Congressional approval?

There are even plenty of single college students who would appreciate not having to pay this tax as well as young people not in in college. Yet, Trump just says he's going to replace it with something wonderful and gives no timetable. I think it's time to flesh out a plan before running against the Hildebeast.

He will simply finish his transition to Trump 2.0, and solve it once and for all. Singlepayer trumpcare for everyone.

He will say since the infrastrustructure is already in place, it doesn’t need to be scrapped, it just needs to be managed better with better deals. With price controls and no evil insurance companies.

Since he is the one doing it, it will be better than it ever has been before.

Balderdash! More Lyin’ Ted dishonesty!

Trump stated early on he would eliminate the state boundaries to allow full free market competition to obtain lower cost and better products.

One of the many reasons why Cruz’s campaign is in its death throes is that he has put forth virtually no solid proposals nor workable solutions to anything. His entire campaign has been theory-based, and when anyone has tried to pin him on particulars, he shucks and jives, answers questions with content-free filibusters, blames everyone else for his failings (the latest being any part of the media, such as Hannity and Drudge, that won’t kiss his butt) or insults Trump’s voters.

“I’m not Donald Trump” is not a campaign, it’s a temper tantrum. No wonder the voters are showing him the door.

This thread is about making predictions, not stating what the great word salad orater has said.

I predict he will continue his decent back into the left where he came from.

If you listen to him, he doesn’t think that government is the problem. He thinks that it needs better management with better deals.

So the before post is my prediction.....

“Trump stated early on he would eliminate the state boundaries to allow full free market competition to obtain lower cost and better products.”

So you are saying it will be Obamacare with no state bounderies and better management?

Gotcha... yep that should fix everything.....

Co-pay yesterday for a eye drop was $50 once a day use. That does not include all the OTC dry eye drops I have to buy and none of them are cheap. Nor do they work more than 5 minutes. It is a strict 2 week drug or it melts your corneas. It is a NSAID, already have dry spots on my corneas for which I will be seeing a specialist May 18th. Othomologist thinks the cataract surgeon put in the wrong lens and nicked a nerve in the eye and it acts like Peripheral Neuropathy of the eye constant burning. It’s only taken nearly 16 years to get this diagnosis.

And if you think Obamacare is bad, wait till you get TRUMPCARE, MANDATORY SOCIALIZED MEDICINE. TRUMPCARE TO REPLACE OBAMACARE

The answer is never. He has repeatedly said he likes the individual mandate. Rumps democratic tendencies are becoming more transparent by the day. He’s not a conservative and I personally do not believe him to actually be a Republican.

What Congress?
Aside from all that, You are right, he isnt supposed to be able to repeal it, but he can starve the dam thing completely out by not allowing funds to support it.

The same with Cruz. These two are in fantasy land if they think they can out and out repeal it without congress. Which brings me back to, what congress?

And that is why we have this type of anger in this election.

Obamacare will die before Trump takes office...

It's a poorly designed health care system set up to make insurance companies RICH BEYOND THEIR MOST CORRUPT DREAMS. When the ‘we can force ‘em to buy or go to jail’ thing didn't pass - -the big money dried up.

Big Health Care's been greasing the hands of many a democrat and they're not taking this well... It's dead.

he has that plan on his website which will solve nothing

I very much disagree. There are two elements of his plan that will not only completely reform our broken health care system, but will make enormous inroads in cutting government spending.

Meanwhile, Ted Cruz doesn't have a written out health care plan and what he's spoken of is the same RNC Romney non-plan plan that we've heard about for years that really won't solve anything.

Obamacare is progressing according to plan. It was designed to force private insurers out of the market. That leaves a single payer government controlled monopoly over one sixth of the American economy.

It was NEVER about health care. It was ALWAYS about the liberals seizing control over the economy and the people by dictating who gets critical care.

I am a Fellow in the American College and Employee Benefits Counsel. I know some of the “experts” the government tapped to help write this beast. Believe me, they are damned proud of their monster.

WEll of course it was. Obamacare was designed to fail so all private insurers would go broke and the govt step in with single payer. If the Dems could get the Senate back and Hillary in the Whitehut that’s exactly what would happen. Its going to cost some coin and pain to a lot of insured to re-route health insurance back on the right path.

Well you are going to get a chance to see if you are right as it appears Trump has an excellent chance of winning the Presidency. Teddy not so much. I think you and the rest of the Cruzers will be waving bye bye soon as Teddy heads back to the motherhship. :-)

United Healthcare one of the largest insurers just announced its exiting the Ocare market. One other I can’t call to mind at the moment is also doing it. There won’t be any insurance available. That was the plan all along. Ocare was always supposed to fail so the govt could step in and institute single payer to save it.
