Shocking election results often allow supporters of the winning candidate to serve up piping hot plates of schadenfreude, and Donald Trump's upset victory is no exception. This clip started making the rounds on Righty twitter in the immediate aftermath of Trump being declared the winner last week; its renewed relevance was made especially delicious because Lefties had shared the hell out of it in October as the ultimate 'mic drop' smack-down of the man they were sure would lose. So sure, in fact, that President Obama agreed to tempt fate by making this 'joke' on Jimmy Kimmel's late night show -- and apparently did so with great relish. Oops:
Obama's response to @realDonaldTrump's mean tweet on @JimmyKimmelLive was perfect. More coming soon... pic.twitter.com/z4LHkdgYvY— Matt Wilstein (@TheMattWilstein) October 25, 2016
Meanwhile, over in the "be careful what you wish for" department, here's British comedian and liberal hero snarkily 'begging' Trump to enter the presidential race back in 2013. "This country, which does not want you to be president..." Oops:
Careful what you wish for (John Oliver in 2013 on The Daily Show)
Finally, via Allahpundit, there's this spectacularly cringeworthy nugget from a New York Times piece explaining Team Hillary's desperate 'blame Comey' spin. Oops:
Mrs. Clintons instinct to shun any personal responsibility angered some Democrats. Several donors on the call, while deeply bitter about Mr. Comeys actions, said they believed that Mrs. Clinton and her campaign had suffered avoidable missteps that handed the election to an unacceptable opponent...Mrs. Clintons campaign was so confident in her victory that her aides popped open Champagne on the campaign plane early Tuesday. But that conviction, aides would later learn, was based largely on erroneous data showing that young, black and Latino voters and suburban women who had been turned off by Mr. Trumps comments but viewed Mrs. Clinton unfavorably would turn out for her in higher numbers than they ultimately did.
Hoo boy, that's some weapons-grade schadenfreude. Pride cometh, etc. And remember, Hillary's campaign was actively rooting for Trump to win the GOP primaries, believing him to be a "dream" match-up for her in a general election:
Hard to reconcile the notion that Trump presents a grave threat to the republic w/ the way HRC camp treated him like their pet alligator. pic.twitter.com/X7DvHfyKxD— Liam Donovan (@LPDonovan) November 14, 2016
He beat her despite being weighed down by an astonishing 61 percent unfavorable rating among Americans who voted. Trump was reportedly just as surprised as anyone else when he pulled it off. She was going to lose this race no matter who she faced. Period. She just didn't realize it.
It’s the same empty talk from Nobama. And look at his eyes, like Hillary’s: the same dead windows to their psychopath souls.
Yes, I agree that getting into a fight does shape character. I remember living in Bladensburg, MD in the 60's. Rough area even back then. Would get my butt whipped on a regular basis on the school bus, but I always fought back. Not as bad as two of my brothers - in their day they were hell on wheels bad - but I had my share of fights. Lost some, won many but people on this thread are correct. Going two-to-two physically against someone is immense character building.
And I think even Bruce Lee lost a fight or two in his life. Ali has lost. Tyson has lost. Losing is good for the soul. It humbles you and teaches you what to do next time in order not to lose. However, losing all the time is not good for the soul. Then, you’re just a loser.
I laugh at their pathetic psychopathy.
I believe Hillary did want to face Trump, but in the end, I think Trump surprised Hillary and ambushed her in October.
It was the accumulative weight of WikiLeaks, Trump's second and third debate performances, his Gettysburg Address, his numerous October event performances, his targeting of Wisconsin with RenPre and finally his last midnight event in Michigan, which put him over the top.
Hillary was caught napping.
correct
Other than his fingerprints, Obama's own evaluation of his 'accomplishments' have no connection at all with the reality of the failed policies and damage to the nation and the world that comprise his true legacy.
He sees his 'accomplishnments' as great successes while they are actually great failures by any unbiased comparison to normal standards.
He has no regrets other than he didn't completely succeed in converting the USA into some kind of an open border, socialist/muslim utopia.
But he isn't gone yet and he has 65 days left to wreak havoc.
But as we know only too well, liberals love to play with the meaning of words, and never more than when they fail.
When Liberals fail, they almost never admit it, apologize, and try to do better (like normal people do).
Instead, they start arguing over what they actually promised, over whether you understood what they meant when they made their promises, whether the current disastrous situation represents their failure or a failure of you, or of the economy, or of America, or of humanity, or whether its actually success, with only you choosing to see it as failure because you're stupid.
Or they take after the means by which you learned about their failure. The information that they had failed was stolen, or it came from a source that predicted they would fail from day one. Or it came from a source that didn't attend an Ivy-League university, or it became public because of an unauthorized leak of information.
In the latter case, they will scream and pound the table about the nefariousness of the leakage of information about their failure, and keep it up so loud and so long that any discussion of their actual failure is impossible.
bttt
John Oliver and Stephen Colbert...two of the biggest losers ever. I would be shocked if Colbert’s show lasted 6 more months. His ratings suck and this election was all he had going for him.
Obama is a fool. The man has no wisdom whatsoever. He can’t see beyond the next 20 minutes.
I would bet that Trump will order the FBI to do a forensic analysis of the fake birth certificate that was posted on the White House website.
Obama and the media were and still are merciless in their framing of Trump as a fool for his birther campaign. Trump does not want to go down in history as “the fool who pushed that birther nonsense”.
RE Obama:
He’s a very small man. Small, petty... and VERY temporary.
Hey Laz...
What’s the countdown at?
I’ll have to look that up
Hey,Obamy!
Get Your “Shovel Ready!”
I’ve heard that and believe it.
IIRC, Reagan thought Trump should run for president one day. Trump also loves his country. And he had see the mess that Obama has made.
Maybe that comment pushed him over the edge and sacrifice his lifestyle and brand (half of the country will no longer buy his merchandise. Didn’t Macy’s drop him?) to serve his country.
Good point!
