CIA Director Mike Pompeo made a top-secret visit to North Korea over Easter weekend as an envoy for President Trump to meet with that country’s leader, Kim Jong Un, according to two people with direct knowledge of the trip.
The extraordinary meeting between one of Trump’s most trusted emissaries and the authoritarian head of a rogue state was part of an effort to lay the groundwork for direct talks between Trump and Kim about North Korea’s nuclear weapons program, according to the two people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the highly classified nature of the talks.

Not sure about that first point. There’s a new sheriff in town. There is also a certain amount of people in this country that either don’t even know that we have all those troops over there or if they do wonder why the heck DO we still have troops in Japan, Germany and SK? This country is quite different now that it was during the post WWII days.
During the campaign Trump said Japan, Germany and SK don’t pay us adequately to defend them - implying perhaps we should remove the troops. Who knows?
We HAVE an attorney general? He hasn’t recused himself from all things North Korea yet has he?
Between this and the spectre of N and S Korea preparing to make a formal announcement of the end of six decades of war, President Trump should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. But, given that Obozo was awarded one without doing anything, it probably won't happen. Still, sane people will know the historic significance of these events.
I prefer the glass half full perspective. 17 days and no leak! Pompeo is the Sec of State nominee and CIA director, a perfect selection for the mission to Pyongyang. I also happen to agree with those who believe this was a planned leak.
Stormy Daniels had a sketch artist sketch the man who she alleges threatened her, and the picture looks a bit like Tom Brady.
I would have thought it more likely for her to maybe ask for a sketch of someone like Judge Roy Moore, or Vladimir Putin?

Two scumbags leaked top secret information to WaPo. If this queers the possibility for peace with North Korea, the leftards will feel it’s a job well done. Can’t have Trump scoring any diplomatic coups, just because it might make the world safer.

I’m sure that will be the talking point.
Perhaps this was a strategic leak. Not all leaks are meant to do harm to Trump. I only see this one helping set the stage.
