Sen. Jeff Flake just said he would vote to move Judge Brett Kavanaugh out of the Judiciary Committee and to the floor of the Senate as long as the main vote would be delayed by up to one week to allow for an FBI investigation.

I think he’s pulling a rope-a-dope. He knows the FBI a) won’t do this and b) couldn’t do anything in a week anyway.
The FBI can’t explain the Mandalay Bay massacre from a year ago. They can’t figure this out from 36 years ago and the named witnesses say it didn’t happen.

They approved him in Cmte but asked (cannot require) a FBI investigation into this matter before full Senate vote. Provides political cover for these politicians. Up to full Senate and Exec Branch controls if FBI investigation occurs (like 6 FBI checks are not enough) This is why we hate politicians and why there is Trump.
OK ... does that then mean Flake, Collins, Murkowski, et al. who I suspect wouldn’t object to another “FBI investigation”, would vote “yes” if there isn’t one? ... even if the FBI says no to another investigation (which, of course, would be Trump’s fault)?

Do you not see the dem strategy? Delay one week and allow multiple women to come forth claiming even more vile accusations. Bring in a man or two to claim that K fellated them when they were minors. Then add in some satanists who claim K attended their black masses.
Demand more investigation and delay until after the mid terms in the hope they pick up enough seats to kill it on the floor.

He did vote yea but he put a really ridiculous contingency on his vote in the full senate...a week-long fbi “investigation”. Screw him and his worthless vote. The fbi already said this is not within their jurisdiction. What a useless pile this rino loser is.

flake said he would vote no if there was no FBI investigation. Leaving zero room for one of the Women GOP to “flake” out.
Fast forward a week: The FBI makes a preliminary report indicating that they are making progress in the investigation and asking for an extension. Dems demand an extension be granted. An additional week is granted.
