CBS Hosts Laugh at Dumping Milkshakes on ‘Right-Wing’ Politicians: 'I’m Sure It Feels Great'

The journalists at CBS This Morning on Tuesday laughed at a new trend by militant leftists: Dumping milkshakes on politicians they don’t like. Co-host Tony Dokoupil began with a whimsical recounting: “In the latest of a series of attacks on right-wing politicians, Brexit Party Leader Nigel Farage was doused with a milkshake yesterday. That was actually salted caramel if anyone is wondering.”

This prompted laughter from Dokoupil’s co-hosts. Continuing the jovial discussion of political intimidation, he added, “I’m sure it feels great. I’m sure people love the feeling. Pictures fly around the world.”

On Monday’s Late Show, host Seth Meyers also joked about the attack on Farage, making sure to note that “far-right” politicians are the target:

Police in Scotland have ordered a McDonalds location to stop selling milkshakes after multiple videos showing people throwing milkshakes at far-right politicians went viral. Said McDonalds customers, "That's insane. Their milkshake machine was actually working? What’s their secret?”

Imagine if 2020 Democrats like Bernie Sanders or Kamala Harris were the targets. Would they be identified as “left-wing” politicians? Would journalists find this all so amusing?

Conservatives shoot enemies. Communists shoot friends. Something Democrats should ponder.

" “Carry a water pistol full of banana milkshake.”

Carry a pistol looking device... in public. Think about that for a second.

Besides it would be too thick to work.

I hope no one throws milkshakes on news reporters or camera people.

I’ll be thinking of this when I am at the shooting range tomorrow.

Milkshakes—in England? I visited England three times in the previous century and never once saw a milkshake. In those days, finding a milkshake in England was as hard as finding a burrito.

In England milk is sold at room temp beside the motor oil at the convenience store!

Today milkshakes, tomorrow, acid, in a country whose capital is a world leader in acid attacks.

The UK has one of the highest rates of acid attacks per capita in the world, according to Acid Survivors Trust International (ASTI).
