Hunter Biden admits that he had no knowledge of and nothing to bring to the boards he served on other than his last name and relationship to the Vice President of the United States who at the time was serving as President Obama's point man on Ukraine and China. He also admits that other board members also had no more knowledge than he had. This means all of these malleable board members were installed for corrupt political purposes only. Ethics, expertise and fiduciary duty be damned.

I’ve heard bits and pieces of that interview and have concluded that either Hunter is too shameless to deny it or too stupid to know it’s wrong. Or both. He certainly was stupid enough to do the interview in the first place, I suppose.

An honest investigation would consider charges against Joe Biden for violating the emoluments clause.
If Don Jr. did the same thing, the media would be covering it 24/7.

Dean Skelos, the former New York Senate Majority leader, and his son are currently serving time in federal prison for doing exactly the same thing. Of course, they’re Republicans.
I’m not a lawyer but I’m guessing there must be one or more laws on our books defending our nation and citizens from corrupt political influence peddling (bribery), especially to foreign countries by government officers.
The interview was done to win over public opinion. Far enough, but what I saw was basically
a smart alec, drug sniffing, pompous kid who comes across as anything but a sympathetic figure.
He’s not at all dressed up or polished. He looks like your typical bachelor a-hole guy who everyone knows, and avoids.
In short, I don’t really know who advised him or what he hoped to accomplish.
Still, I’m thinking is the overall objective still will be to shame Trump and Rudy.

I agree that his comments could be taken to besmirch all the other board members. With some of them, that may be true.
I will have to admit to seeing this as a 5th Grade level attempt at getting off on cutting class.
“Eh, everyone does it.” “Eh nobody knew more than I did.”
While some of them may not, there may be others who were knowledgeable of industry dynamics, and could fully contribute.
Is it a big payoff scheme? It could be. Biden’s statement may be theatrical (self-defensive) overkill too.
