Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blocked a bipartisan effort to enlarge the COVID relief bill to $2,000. President Trump supports the enhanced relief package. As a consequence, in justifying his maneuver McConnell did something we are all too familiar with. It is time to expose the Decepticon game again; this time people will accept.
At first blush you might ask yourself why Mitch McConnell would block this bill and put the Georgia special election senate races in question. He just handed Georgia democrats an atomic sledgehammer. However, what most people do not understand is how McConnell works; being in the minority position is not adverse to his interests. McConnell operates with a Machiavellian strategy, so we will explain.......
.......McConnell knows a second bill with all three elements($2,000, section 230 reform and election Fraud review) will not pass the House. McConnell knows it is a pure political posturing exercise that will produce nothing, yet provide more justification for his blockage.

The answer is where you have had to actually follow Mitch McConnell closely to see how he works. When the Majority has around 52 to 55 seats, they need McConnell to give them 8 to 9 votes to overcome the three-fifths (60 vote) threshold for their legislative needs. It is in the process of trade and payment for those 8 to 9 votes where McConnell makes more money, and holds more power, than as a sitting Majority Leader......

While I have doubts the Dems will pack SCOTUS, I have no doubt they’ll change the 60 vote requirement to get a bill to the floor. Mitch is first, foremost, and always in support of himself. Nothing more, nothing less.
So the Dems hold this up for months to gain leverage for the election. They hold us hostage .... And then at the last hour we are expected to give them everything they want. Yea Sounds about right for spineless Republicans.

I doubt it. Most people are not paying attention. OF those that do pay attention many hate Trump and are cheering on the GOP Senate. Witness the push to elect two do-nothing to stop the steal GA GOP Senators.
I do not advocate violence but it’s way past time for the coup and steal enabling GOP Senators to be Rostenkowski’d. Democrats would be in the faces of their elected leaders 24/7/365 if they betrayed them in this way. Yet the human debris that call themselves GOP Senators get a free pass.

If the Democrats take the Senate and do away with the filibuster they have a lot less need to get favors from McConnell. He will have much less power and be hated in most of the party and will deserve it.
