35 House Republicans on Wednesday voted with Democrats in favor of a bill to create a commission to investigate the Jan. 6 attack, a significant break from GOP leadership, which urged members to vote against the bill.
The list includes all 10 Republicans who voted to impeach Trump in January, as well as a number of members of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus, which endorsed the bill.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy spoke out against the bill on Monday, alleging the commission wouldn’t be able to probe political violence beyond Jan. 6.

The squish Reed from New York is not running again. Pretty solid conservative district. But you never know. Must have a very “Trump” candidate to win again.
Mississippi 3rd Congressional District (includes Miss. State, Natchez, Rankin county and one other).
Rep. Michael Guest (R). Replaced the R that was there, Harper- and beat out a jungle primary of repubs to do it. Couple of things are odd here (except perhaps someone thinking they can expose Pelosi this way- subpoenas etc. could be). Guest was the State DA for the two counties he ran in— and was a law and order candidate who also campaigned as a strong supporter of President Donald Trump— who won Miss. and this Cong. District vs. Biden.
Also, December 2020, Guest was one of the 126 Republican House of Representatives signin an amicus brief supporting Texas v. Pennsylvania, the 26 states filing— which SCOTUS refused to hear.
They go with this commission— maybe thinking they can flay the dems— of course the dems just want to whip up more BS and cover up their role.
