Disgraced former CBS News anchor Dan Rather recently finished hosting nine seasons of a cable television interview series — but most Americans may not have noticed.
From 2013 to last year, he filmed 150 episodes of “The Big Interview with Dan Rather” for the niche cable channel AXS TV. Guests included actor David Hasselhoff, singer Neil Young and filmmaker Oliver Stone.
Now the 90-year-old journalist publishes left-leaning commentaries on the news of the day in a Substack newsletter that he shares on Twitter with his 2.7 million followers.
“Trump judges are McConnell judges,” Mr. Rather tweeted Friday.
He’s among the growing number of ethically tarnished TV journalists who have migrated to smaller cable networks, digital platforms and streaming channels.
In 2006, CBS fired Mr. Rather for reporting false documents about President George W. Bush’s Texas Air National Guard service during the 2004 election.

Oh my, a channel probably many of us here never heard of. Way to go Dan, I’d probably rather still watch episodes of Rockford or other TV classics on MeTV or any of the other nostalgia channels.
One thing we learned from Elon Musk’s Twitter adventure is that their numbers are as fake as a Dan Rather news report.
Compare Rather’s ‘broadcasting’ from his mom’s basement to Nixon’s rehabilitation as a senior statesman at the end of his life. I take great comfort knowing how much that must gall Rather.
I have never seen a whole episode. But circa 1977 my friend would pound down Rolling Rocks and was a faithful viewer of Rockford Files. Which is 50% a documentary about the future that we are in now

How times have changed so quickly. Rather was actually punished for what he did. The left is creating fake everyday against Trump and being rewarded.

More propaganda from the Washington Slimes. Dan Rather forged documents and even doubled down on them after being caught.
CBS didn't fire him. They were part of the "fake but accurate" lie. They couldn't fire him because they were fully in on the fraud. He showed his fraudulent documents in September 2004 and retired in March 2005.
On one hand, I have to give Dan Rather a bit of praise and respect for being a 90 year old journalist still on the air, still , in effect,in the game.
I find that remarkable, that he not only has the drive to work, apparently he’s also got the ability to make it happen.
That being said, it’s Dan Rather, so your going to get a very biased line of questions from the host.
Someone I would prefer reading about on the same theme would be Charlie Rose, whose long reporting career came to an abrupt and uncompromising stop during the first Me Too “Witch Trials”.
Charlie was a far better reporter than Dan Rather, but perhaps his easy going professional demeanor can never be recovered.
