Elon Musk fires Twitter counsel James Baker, former top FBI lawyer under James Comey, for reportedly scrubbing FBI references in the Twitter Files about Hunter Biden’s laptop 👀

HOLY MOLY.

James Baker was Twitter's legal counsel. He formerly worked for the FBI, and it is alleged that he removed references to the FBI's involvement in suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story after the NY Post published it before the 2020 election.

Remember, about 17% of voters said they would have switched their vote if they had heard about the laptop or other scandals around the Biden name.

More from The Post Millennial:

On Tuesday, Twitter CEO Elon Musk announced that attorney Jim Baker had been "exited" from the company following recent revelations that he may have played a role in facilitating censorship on the platform.

Baker had been hired by Twitter as deputy general counsel following a stint at the FBI that ended with him essentially being forced out of the job.

"In light of concerns about Baker's possible role in suppression of information important to the public dialogue, he was exited from Twitter today," Musk wrote on Twitter.

Musk said that Baker's explanation was "unconvincing" once he was confronted.

The Twitter files included revelations that "Twitter took extraordinary steps to suppress the [Hunter Biden laptop] story, removing links and posting warnings that it may be 'unsafe.' They even blocked its transmission via direct message, a tool hitherto reserved for extreme cases, e.g. child pornography.

At this point, it is unclear if Baker acted in his own or was working to cover up information on behalf of the FBI or other actors.

This begs the question:

Just how corrupt is our government???

The next batch of info regarding the Twitter files will be published by Bari Weiss.

Do you really think Colonel Jessup wouldn’t have taken care of that?

“...about 17% of voters said they would have switched their vote if they had heard about the laptop or other scandals around the Biden name."

This is the 17% that could be culled from the US population...and we'd never miss them.

On the other hand, I admit...there ARE times I wish I could just cruise thru life without having a clue.

I think it’s really difficult to completely erase, disappear files in a networked computer system. Way to many backups exist, backups of backups, and on. There will backups in storage that are physically isolated from any network.

It’s also a PITA to search backups but that’s how it goes.

My opinions…

You are correct.

His parachute will be fully restored. And he will continue to play ball no matter what. The Epstein Example wasn’t that long ago.

You don’t serve the government class oligarchy that well and that long without being taken care of completely. And in return staying in line. That’s how our magnificent, altruistic, land of the free, home of the brave, everything for the people U.S. Government operates.

All the way and beyond redemption. We're at that awkward stage where the government no longer recognizes the Constitution, and the people no longer remember the Declaration of Independence get-out-of-tyranny card.

I would like to think Musk was setting Baker up and giving him a public firing with clear evidence the average person can understand. (deliberately removing all references of the FBI’s involvement)

“James Baker intercepted the Twitter Files before they could get to Taibbi and scrubbed references to the FBI...”

He did this stonwalling without the knowledge of new management and got “exited” from Twitter when they found out. It wasn’t just his role in the original decision to censor the Hunter story, He was still at it and trying to hide the fact.

I don’t understand what is meant by “scrubbing.” But, I wonder if Baker had assistance in deleting any references to the FBI from the emails. It is hard to imagine Baker sat in his office and did a global search of thousands of pages to find and delete any mention of the FBI. It might serve Musk to have his technical staff look at the data to find out if Baker had help. If he did, then those people also should be “exited” from the company.

James Freeman was on Newsmax this morning talking about this....first thing he said was “why didn’t Elon do this on day one?”

That’s a pretty good question

I imagine it was done during Baker’s installment within Twitter. So that like the founding CEO, Elon Musk was kept “out of the loop”. My name can be found ALL over the internet, I imagine James Baker(s) also are as numerous.

My understanding is there are files which we saw last week outlining the FBI/Twitter coverup of the laptop. In his capacity as legal council, Baker was given the files to review and to withhold info as he saw fit BEFORE passing them on to Taibbi for publication. Supposedly, neither Musk or anyone else (other “alternative” media) made the connection that this guy was the preeminent fixer for the FBI for the last five years before he slithered out of DC, his mission complete there. It’s just those limited internal files that are in question. I can’t help but think the real smoking guns are long since erased.
