In these situations, the 2nd shooter usually conveniently disappears and the reports of such are blamed for the confusion at the moment.

Sounds as if they are looking for anyone to shoot and blame as being the 2nd shooter. If any of the construction workers at the site they are now heading to is carrying a sidearm they may just find themselves full of bullet holes.
I do. I used to go to the ones in Lancaster and Hershey,PA, but that was over 25 years ago.

I once had a discussion on with a leftist idiot on why conservatives cannot be made to see the need for gun control.
I think I hit a soft spot when I said, “I’ll ‘common sense’ gun control when your side starts putting criminals in jail, regardless of race, economic status or circumstances. But if you did those things there would be no need for gun control because the crime rate would drop so low.”
