The world just got its first real taste of what life is like at 1.5 degrees Celsius

The world has just gotten its first real taste of a planet that is 1.5 degrees Celsius — or 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit — hotter than preindustrial times.

According to data from the Copernicus Climate Change Service, July of this year was the most scorching July on record, clocking in at somewhere between 1.5 and 1.6 Celsius hotter than the average before the widespread use of fossil fuels.

Funny, my taste wasn’t bad. There was one day thus far this year that the high was 98F and no other days hotter. June was a bit dry, but July was adequately wet to turn everything green. My garden is growing like nuts. The forecast the next ten days doesn’t have a single day over 90F and it seems that there will be occasional rain to keep crops growing. Eventually, we’ll need a dry spell to harvest some crops and do the last haying.

I don’t watch weather on TV. I usually get my weather each morning when I take my pup outside. This climate change stuff must be being push all over, since when I talk to people the weather and climate seems to come up more that the past. My reply has been “It’s July” or “It’s Summer”. It really is and with no major differences than in previous years.

Why, it hasn’t been much over 115 out here west of Tucson. The monsoon’s a bit late maybe, but not unusually so. I’ve seen hotter days and later monsoons in just the last few decades.

Seems like a cooler year actually, even the hillsides in Reno area have a bit of green tint left, not dried out yet. But okay, any excuse for hysteria can’t be passed up.

My KWH used on AC is down 20% this year. My weather station said it was 4F degrees cooler than last March-July. My garden is green and lush, there is no drought in the US regions that produce the majority of foodstuffs. Now tell me exactly what you want me to be concerned about.

The author is forgetting one very important thing; the Earth is a living dynamic changing entity. Author assumes the Earth is a fixed unchanging vessel and it is far from it. As demands are placed upon the Earth it adjusts accordingly with variable Weather, Winds, temps and surface pressures to name just a few variables. These variables adjust constantly to compensate for Volcanoes, Hurricanes, Sun Spots and other phenomena that make the Earth stay in a potential unbalanced state of Equilibrium.................

Airplanes are dropping out of the sky, cars are smashing into everything as their drivers keel over from the heat, city busses are coming ot a stop as the drivers expire, city streets are cut off from traffic as bodies are piled a mi.e high in some cases on and on it goes

Just a pictorial enhancement.

I embrace global warming. Let the car idle. Turn the thermostat down. Plants love Carbon dioxide, and I love plants.

During the “heat wave” in July locally, it was 10 degrees warmer than normal for a week or so. Hot, but it’s July, imagine that. Media said we were all gonna die.

Last week, locally it was 10 degrees cooler than normal. Pretty pleasant, actually. Media? Crickets.

Meanwhile, Antarctica and the southern hemisphere is setting record lows for cold temps this year. How that can happen, and the media still claim that the temperature globally is setting record highs, is beyond me. Either the scientists don’t understand basic statistics, or they’re trusting that most of the public doesn’t.

Consider the source.
Based on only a .30° temp. difference from the most recent recorded high in 2016, but 1836 was probably higher. We have more data points they can manipulate now.

It’s official now— this year... NYC has NOT had a heat wave. By definition of all meteorologists— NOT had a heat wave.

It’s clowns like this wrtier who knows nothing of WEATHER, much less about what climate actually is, who perpetuate the restructuring of scientific meaning, and ignore the FACTS.

The world is cooling. Going to be an early very cold and very long winter... bozo fear porn pisser.

The recent heat is mostly due to an underwater volcanic eruption in 2022 which threw billions of tons of water vapor into the atmosphere. No CO2 involved.

Pretty damn chilly if you ask me. I think it comes out to 34F.

“hotter than preindustrial times.”

Absolute flat out lie. It has been a lot hotter many times during previous interglacial periods. It was extremely hot before this last ice age.

Since we only have about 7.5 years remaining — depending on which town crier is doing the crying — why aren’t the leftists building thousands of launch pods so they can escape the impending disaster.

Maybe if they all moved off the planet, we wouldn’t have so many doomsday countdowns.

“Nonsense. I have a friend in Tucson and she says it is hot this year”

Hot? Or not hot?

I am in the desert southwest and this is the coolest summer I have ever seen my whole life here. Period.
