Former Vice President Mike Pence warned this week that if Russian forces are not repelled in Ukraine, U.S. military service members may have to step up to the fight.
"I’m convinced that if the Ukrainian military doesn’t stop and repel that Russian invasion, it’s not going to be too long before that Russian army crosses a border that our men and women in uniform are going to have to go and fight under our NATO Treaty," Mr. Pence said during a town hall-style interview with NewsNation on Wednesday. "I truly believe it. Whether that's Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, ... Poland, I don't know."
Mr. Pence, who is running for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, made those remarks in an extended response to a question about how he would end the war in Ukraine if he is elected.

Pence has zero chance of being elected President but his stance is the same as all other GOP candidates with the exception of Trump (and maybe Ramaswamy).

Why? There is no reason we have to defend Ukraine and die for Ukraine. Russia did not invade us and Ukraine is not worth one American life.

The question now is: Just who is telling Pence to say it?
My theory is McConnell, as he’s having a huge fight right now in trying to get House Republicans to dump even more money into the Ukraine s-hole. So, now the threats begin: Open-warfare with an Asian Superpower, on Asian soil.
But even so, it doesn’t worry me, as I know the threats are empty - we’re not going to escalate into direct combat against Russia, at most we’ll just exchange nukes with them.
