Former President Donald Trump is well on his way to easily locking up the GOP presidential nomination for the third straight time, but attendees at the Conservative Political Action Conference were split over who should join his ticket.
Biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem tied as the top pick among CPAC goers in the veepstakes with 15% apiece, according to a straw poll at the grassroots event.
Former Hawaii Democrat Rep. Tulsi Gabbard came next with 9% support, followed by Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) at 8% each.
Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) scored 7%, Arizona Senate hopeful Kari Lake notched 6%, while Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson each nabbed 5%.
DeSantis has ruled out serving as Trump’s VP.

BTW, Where is Engoron from? Is he a friend of Sauron from Mordor?
As impressed as I am with Vivek, I don’t know what he would bring to the ticket in terms of helping Trump get across the finish line. I do think he would be a strong conservative as president. Noem, on the other hand, could siphon off some of the moderate white women’s vote from Biden and would be a bigger (I think far bigger) asset to Trump in the general election. Given her backstory on trans issues, though, I am concerned about how strong a conservative she would be if she became POTUS.
Governor of North Dakota Doug Burgum
My choice also.
He’s a fraud and con man, period.
Tells the crowd what they want to hear but his actions don’t match up at all
Anyone supporting that fraud really needs to dig deeper.
I want General Flynn!
Maybe we need to start a petition.
Hahaha. What a hoot. I laughed out loud at this blast from the past of people getting excited about that gnome Sessions.
I’m always leery of shiny new objects that everyone gets enthralled with
Too often, they lose their luster in the sunlight
She is ugly.
I agree... I would pick her over Vivek also.. but neither of them would be my FIRST pick.
Sarah Sanders and Byron Donalds would both be GREAT...I love them both. MUCH better than Vivek and Noem.

I heard he also probed her assets.
“Sarah Sanders and Byron Donalds would both be GREAT...I love them both.”
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Winning the election is Priority 1 through 10. Forget who would be the best VP once in office, or who would be set up to be the best choice in 2028.
Both would bring in energy AND votes.
JD Vance...

adds absolutely NOTHING to the electability of the ticket. And that is the ONLY priority that matters now.
Vance may even detract from the electability. There is no synergy, no sizzle, no attraction for the undecided voter. The undecided voter is THE ONLY target. We MUST think in those terms.
He is a GOOD man, but he is the wrong choice for VP. This isn’t 1956 anymore.
Haha it would be the most exciting campaign ever...Trump/Vivek. I would pay money to watch him debate Kamala.

I don’t trust Noem. She’s a net zero climate phony.
Not about winning Illinois.
About: Having smart people who can explain things, well, in the Trump Administration.
Especially: Without removing Republicans from office, by placing *them* in the Administration. When, we need Republicans to REMAIN in OFFICE.
