China and Russia are working on a JOINT invasion of Taiwan, US intelligence fears

China and Russia are working on a joint invasion of Taiwan, US intelligence officials fear.

'We see China and Russia, for the first time, exercising together in relation to Taiwan and recognising that this is a place where China definitely wants Russia to be working with them, and we see no reason why they wouldn't,' Avril Haines, Director of US National Intelligence, told the US Congress on Thursday.

Her warning on the potential cooperation between the countries on Taiwan, which China has long claimed as its own territory to be annexed by force if necessary, was echoed by Lieutenant General Jeffrey Kruse.

He said that the US Defence Department has 'become even more concerned about our joint force requirements in an environment where [Russia and China] would certainly be cooperative, and we need to take that into account,' Bloomberg reports.

A potential joint invasion of Taiwan was raised in the meeting of the Senate Armed Services Committee by Republican Senator Mike Rounds, who asked the head of the Defence Intelligence Agency about the Pentagon's plans should an invasion happen.

> Gracefully surrender the things of youth: birds, clean air, tuna, Taiwan.

Alright, but at least I know that my dog is getting enough cheese.

And reflect that whatever fortune may be your lot, it could only be worse in Milwaukee.

True, true.

But why do I get the feeling (though I can't hear it) that the universe is laughing behind our backs?

They should just invade our border. Everybody else is.

When the British Media starts ‘inventing’ stories regarding other countries, those countries better watch out...as it means that those countries are in the crosshairs of the Neocons.

Anything published by the British press reflects what MI-6 wants to disseminate.

The main ally that would be useful if Red China decided to invade Taiwan is North Korea. The North Koreans invading the South simultaneously with a Red Chinese invasion of Taiwan would open up a two front war in East Asia. With NATO in a de facto war against Russia and with the U.S. helping the Israelis, the CCP may calculate that the West would be stretched exceedingly thin in a four front war.

Russia and China are allied but like the German Japanese alliance of 80 years ago, neither nation was in a position to help the other except through shared intelligence. Russia has its hands full in Ukraine and possibly Georgia as well.

The Red Chinese have advanced mainly through economic power. We will see if Xi decides to send Red China's untested military into combat

Didn’t US intelligence act against the law and the president of the United States as well as attacking a candidate for the presidency.

This release is some nefarious plot as far as I’m concerned. Why would any sane person now put any stock in ANYTHING these people say or do?

The aim of the Chinese is to bait the Russians to do the first strike with its Pacific Fleet, hoping that the combined response wipes it out.

Russia, in its initial move, destroys the TSMC fab plants, to ensure the West can no long access cutting edge chips.

At that point, China now has a free hand to take all of the current Russian Far East.

Something major is going to happen before the election.

Russia will test its nuclear armed anti-satellite weapon, destroying LEO satellites, and setting back human exploration of space for decades or longer.

Russia’s Anti-Satellite Nuke Could Leave Lower Orbit Unusable, Test Vehicle May Already Be Deployed
New info has emerged from U.S. officials about Russia’s nuclear anti-satellite weapon and a test satellite that may be associated with it.

Neither Russia nor China has the capability nor resources to invade and occupy Taiwan.

The navies of 27 nations patrol the East and South China Seas and can easily thwart any such effort. The world has seen repeatedly the Russian weapons are just ineffective against the opposition.

Word is that China is also in a similar position. Chinese weapons are tofu dreg like the failing buildings an infra structure construction. They are the product of industrial corruption that has no interest in quality or even of workable design.

But foremost, China is in serious turmoil and falling apart economically as manufacturing and construction have precipitously declined. Unemployment is so great it can’t be accurately measured.

Russia has no capability to do any of that.

The Iranians made the Russians take up positions on the Israeli border and fly their jets around in an attempt to intimidate.

The IDF routinely bypasses the futile Russian efforts and destroys Iranian installations all over Syria. The Russian air defense systems are bypassed and destroyed by the IAF and Ukranian forces.

Meanwhile, the what is left of the Russian Navy has withdrawn from Sevastopol to where it hopes there is safety.

Russia has no capability to do any of that.

Dear Bert,
Russia has a huge Pacific naval fleet based in Vladivostok, Far East. It also has a huge North Sea naval fleet based in Severomorsk. The Black Sea fleet was always tiny.

The Pacific fleet has many missiles that can hit and destroy installations on Taiwan.

And Russia is, according to multiple sources cited in the article I linked, developing a space nuclear threat to all of humanity.

You are confusing two different areas of the world. Do not judge one by the other.

I’m judging Russia.

In the present context, having ships does not necessarily imply a naval capability capable of existing after an encounter with other navies.

Russia has very effectively demonstrated inability to deploy weapons as capable as the opposition.

Morons. China doesn’t need Russia to invade Taiwan. Now would be a good time for them because we have the clueless and stupid and inept pervert regime bumbling around ruining the US right now.

I see China invading Taiwan, but certainly not Russia. Russia has its hands full in Ukraine. I don’t think they have the navy it would take to participate as well as an adequate air force.

If that does happen, then we have WWIII with nukes flying for sure.

There is nothing to fear. That is not China's MO.

All over the world, libraries, youth centers, etc. are being built and with them come a large sign that says something like, "Gratitude to the People Republic of China".

Blowing everything to smithereens, not really their style.

Taiwan 20XX = Austria 1938.

Flower petals on the beaches. We choose “allies” now as excuses to start wars. These aren’t allies, they are protectorates.

And when Taiwan needs protection, it’s not coming from us.
