Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh has sent word of the group’s acceptance of a ceasefire proposal to Qatari and Egyptian mediators.

Thousands of people flee eastern Rafah after Israel orders people to evacuate as fears of a full-blown military assault on the city sheltering more than one million displaced people grow.

Additional information from Israeli officials: Egypt modified the deal to accommodate Hamas’s demands without consulting Israel. This is unacceptable to us and looks like a deception.

Hamas is TERRIFIED of Israel going into Rafah because that is where Hamas is located, their last remaining stronghold they know the IDF will kill them off..I say continue going into Rafah kill the rest of Hamas off otherwise this entire war would have been a complete waste of time

Agreed. But if Israel is agreeing to the ceasefire, it probably means that the IDF needs time to recharge. Maybe I'm wrong, but Israel/Benji strikes me as intent on fighting as hard as they can until they get nothing but surrender.

No deal! Egypt went behind Israel’s back and gave Hamas everything they wanted..they are doing this because Egypt doesn’t want the refugees from Rafah and also they can use this as an excuse as to why Israel rejected the deal

I'm very doubtful of any peace deal working (if one is announced it will probably fall apart very quickly).

No doubt the Nobel Peace Prize committee would love to find a pretext to give Biden the Peace Prize before the election but the deadline may have passed for this year's nominees.

I suspect they have few hostages alive and they are most likely in dreadful condition.
