s the nation’s $34 trillion-plus debt remains top of mind for some on Capitol Hill, polling has shown Americans have also grown more concerned about the country’s balance sheet.

Although Washington is deeply divided over how to tackle the nation’s deficits, there has been some momentum among House Republicans for a special commission to explore ways to improve the country’s fiscal trajectory. Those efforts have fueled concerns about cuts to key programs seniors rely on, like Social Security and Medicare.

But experts warn the potential consequences of higher debt could impact all Americans.

34 Trillion is small compared to the 300 Trillion we are in debt because of underfunded liabilities.

You may not have all the answers, but some are as evident as black and white.

The government is too large. So immediately prioritize and begin trimming and cutting the number of programs.

Starting immediately require every department and agency cut expenditures by 5% each year for a certain number of years.

there are so many ways to curb this obscene spending binge going on.

The point is, don’t wait for commissions and studies - get started on the obvious.

We have far too many civil service and federal service types. Cut 10% immediately. I wonder what good all the obese Generals
and Admirals are to our military? Add the LGBTQ types? I ran into one fag in the Army at Fort Bragg in 1969. He was an MI major. I ran him off post. He was seen at a bar owned by senior SF NCO’s. He was sucking eggs they said. He had a terrible accident at dark. Guess he fell.

What qualifies The Hill to write on this subject? The fact that they are an organ of the Uniparty?

Notice no cuts to stupid programs or unnecessary giveaways. Government always wants to cut the necessary stuff we rely on.

Make cuts on the hundreds of billions of dollars given away to other countries, especially to our enemies! Cut that crap before anything else. Cut back the salaries and the perks of government "leaders". Cut back their jet-setting all over the world, and make them do actual work. Sick of them stealing my dollars and wasting it.

For about 5 decades now corrupt lawyers turned professional politicians have looted, mismanaged, spent and manipulated the system until we find ourselves 34 trillion zillion in debt...All while most of them became rich.

So bad they’ve made things, they now want to go after Social Security for the elderly.
