Bird Flu Fearmongering Prompts Spike in Survival Beef Sales
Breitbart ^ | 05/17/2024 | PREPPER ALL-NATURALS (SPONSORED)

Mainstream media has been covering bird flu incessantly for weeks. It has been compared to COVID-19 and even the Bubonic plague with talking head “doctors” practically declaring it to be the next pandemic.

Whether their concern is real or part of an election year operation is debatable, but what has become crystal clear is that Americans are viewing the sudden bird flu attention from government agencies as a reason to stock up on long-term storage beef.

“The beef industry is undeniably under attack,” said JD Rucker, CEO of Prepper All-Naturals. “Whatever risk, if any, that bird flu poses to cattle and thereby to beef-eating humans, it’s being amplified 10 times or more.”

Cases of bird flu found in cattle are minimal, and diagnosed cases in humans are rare. But everyone from the CDC to the FDA are using mainstream corporate media to spread fear among consumers.

One of the issues with TP in 2020 was that people were no longer going to work, no longer going out, and toilets in commercial offices, restaurants, schools etc. often use commercial rolls that are a slightly different format from what goes into a bundle of TP for home use. Everyone was at home, and the supply chain couldn’t supply the shift in demand immediately.

I was glad to have an extra Costco bundle in the basement! That and the partial open one we had lasted long enough to get us over the demand hump.

The same sort of thing caused an aluminum can shortage. People weren’t getting fountain drinks at lunch, they were drinking Cokes at home, causing a big spike in aluminum can demand.

See my prior post. It was more than hysteria. That had some effect, but wasn’t the main cause.

Right, unknown millions not using the bathrooms and porta potties and school bathrooms suddenly needing more TP at home, and the TP companies couldn’t switch over quickly.

Meat suppliers and other plants ran into that issue of supplying commercial customers and then having to shift to retail customers.

I never had to buy TP during that era because I buy on big sales which means staying stocked up so that I never have to pay full retail.
I called the church and told the preacher that I had TP and canned food and dry beans for those who needed it, but to make sure only the desperate bothered me.

Bingo!

Now that I think about it, some of the restaurant suppliers had some parking lot sales here. You’d cruise up and get like 50# of chicken in various foodservice bags/boxes.
