Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) said he laughs at the term “America first,” an increasingly common phrase heard in the Republican Party regarding U.S. foreign policy that he finds “disorienting.”
Romney said during an interview with MSNBC’s “The 11th Hour with Stephanie Ruhle” earlier this week that growing isolationism in the GOP is “unimaginable” considering its past leaders, like former Presidents Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, as well as former Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).
Romney argued the term, popularized by former President Trump, “flows” in from talk radio and TV, where “outrageous” things are embraced by the party’s base.

In a way Im glad that Romney lost in 2012, I know, we got stuck with Obama..but honestly I think there wouldn’t have been much difference between Obama and Romney they both have the same world view

The tell will be Trump's VP pick. If he goes with an establishment politician (i.e. Rubio), my fear will be correct. If however he chooses boldly (i.e. Ramaswamy), then MAGA might have some legs going into 2028.

Romney really has to step off the public stage and back into the private sector. At least he did something productive there by rescuing distressed companies as the head of Bain Capital.

Just as Reagan was a one-shot deal, and when Bush entered the White House, it was right back to “Business As Usual”.

For me that was the final straw. I will never ever again let the GOP force-feed me a candidate I cannot stand and I know hates me but they tell me it's the only choice now, time to be an adult and focus on winning.
1) Neither Romney nor McCain actually were better than Obama. And 2) After watching the GOP for the last 8 years cry, moan, and refuse to support a candidate a DO like, they get my middle finger when they tell me I have no choice but to vote for their uniparty globalist hacks.
