State Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan cleared the courtroom Monday over a dramatic spat with the defense’s first main witness, Robert Costello, causing a period of mayhem at former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial.
Mr. Costello, a lawyer who once spoke to Trump lawyer-turned-accuser Michael Cohen, seemed to take exception to one of Judge Merchan’s objection rulings, uttering “Jeez,” and then sighing, “Strike it.”
“You don’t say ‘jeez.’ And you don’t say “strike it,’ because I’m the only one who strikes it,” Judge Merchan told Mr. Costello, an experienced attorney and prosecutor.
He also told him not to give him the “side eye” and, his voice rising, asked: “Are you staring me down right now?”
“Clear the courtroom!” Judge Merchan said.

Judge Juan Merchan has become a joke - that’s rough for judges with big egos... and little brains.
Pretend judge is starting to get owly.
Judge is un-hinged and abusive. He is very triggered by Costello b/c Costello knows he truth and is not afraid to say it.
I’m pretty sure we still have one flyable B-24 out there.
Merchan is weak and showed his hand.
His daughter's side job is as risk too...

I don’t think there is any law against staring at a judge, or anyone else as far as that goes. Over his head judge is looking for any reason to assert his authority and punish anyone for the defense. If there never was a kangaroo court, there is one now.
That would be nice.

Judge’s daughter raised $100 Million off this Alvin Bragg case.

How could her father dismiss this case before, during, or after when his daughter will be super wealthy and have only the wealthiest Clients after he delivers?
And don’t think anything gets turned over in appeal. NY hand picked this Judge to get Trump.
Except that doesn’t always work. Once the word is out, it’s out. The jury will not forget or ignore anything the judge says. You cannot unspeak anything, and most lawyers know this. They will risk contempt to put a word or two into the jury’s ear they know will hit a nerve.
100% meltdown.
The judge now realizes that both the case, and his career are imploding.
He is now resorting to reading minds in order to further the case.
The Judge allowed members onto the Jury that said they hated Trump.
NY Gov, AG, nyc DA, prosecutor, corrupt judge are all counting on the NYT reading jury to not give a damn just Trump guilty.
It’s a better than even chance.
Man on Ingraham a few minutes ago said the jurors tend to bond with the judge and anyone seeming to oppose him or dislike him will incur their disapproval.
Trial has been rigged so judge allows slanderous talk and then later says, disregard that. Every objection from defense overruled.
So how can any of us have hope that Trump will get a hung jury or a not guilty verdict?
Then the Leftists will be cheering and celebrating Trump being labeled a convicted felon. And what about the limited SCOTUS ruling that Trump had not YET been convicted so allow him to be on the state ballots? Now he’s possibly going to be convicted.
The jurors already hated and despised him and feel virtuous about it.
In Nazi Germany, People’s Court judge Roland Freisler didn’t allow the Defendant to actually have any defense.
Why waste time with things that didn’t matter?
So, here we are.

If he was confident, he would smile quietly. He’s lashing out emotionally because it’s falling apart. And last I checked, judges were not supposed to care who won.
