I have been mostly supportive of W but I think your comments are right on the money. If somebody thinks they are treasonous their last name must be Beria.

What Movemout said. As a supporter of the Bush administration, I'm not going to call anyone treasonous who quarrels with them. Sheesh, maybe I've lost track of all these FREEP threads, but it seems that if someone does that, that's so silly it's barely worth the breadth to rebut such name-calling. But I definitely might just *ask* to tone down criticisms of our gov't, whoever's in charge, right now. Not demand, just ask, since we are at war. So it's seems like you have a legitimate gripe, Kristinn, and you won't hear any such criticism from me. But even if I didn't just love Bush, Cheney, and Powell (which I do), and even if I were to engage in a little gripe or gribble about this or that, that wouldn't be disunity or unpatriotic. This is still a discussion group and flames that just criticize people for even stating their views should be laughed off. I've no doubt that Kristinn and all of us agree that united we stand, divided we fall, and what unites us now is much greater than what separates us. A little quibbling on the margins ain't gonna prevent the likes of Kristinn to help us organize a peaceful response to these IMF protestors -- who are really believe are saying something so inappropriate at just the wrong time to fairly be called (although I won't publicly) unpatriotic. We have to reserve words such as "unpatriotic" for that ilk.
