Alliance for Justice & Physicians for Social Responsibility

This group is putting up fliers on college campuses in New York.

It says they are going to hold a viewing of a video, a discussion group, and a candle light vigil.

Their flier in part reads:

"Can you believe...

In 1998, approximately 23 people between the ages of 20 and 30 died from firearm related injuries each day!!"

Be aware. Be very aware!

Sounds like a sound plan to reduce the number of gang-bangers/drug-dealers to me.

Do these people still not understand that we will not "turn'em in"? Who are they going to send to collect them?

If we're lucky they'll get the UN to try and do it. I can live with that; the UN troops won't be able to, but I will.

They leave out the probable fact that it's execution-style, at the hands of government officials in foreign dictatorships and communist countries. In which case the number posited is likely extremely low.

And can you tell us how many of those "supposed" 23 per day were GANGBANGERS??? Hmmm? Did think so. Why don't you move to England, their total gun ban has worked out sooo well.

I just read Dawson Bell's article in the Detroit Free Press today, "Foes Drop Drive Against Gun Law", which states that opponents of Michigan's new concealed carry law are giving up on plans for a ballot proposal to overturn it in 2002. They lacked funding for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No support for gun control in Michigan, it would appear. This is the best news I've heard in two weeks, other than my niece made it out of the WTC alive, and my daughter has recovered from meningitis. Praise the Lord!

You know, one of the good things that has come out of the tragedy of 9/11 is the absolute annihilation of gun control as an issue and gun control organizations as relevant in any way whatsoever. I just like to whisper "Four guns, seven THOUSAND lives. Four guns, seven THOUSAND lives."

Anti-gunners are worse than terrorists. At least terrorists acknowledge some reality.

Thank you for reminding me. The first Monday in October is the day I renew my NRA membership. It's become a tradition with me.

I don't understand your post. I didn't think I was advocating gun control, I'll have to check.

Read my post again - you have never communicated with anyone, repeat anyone, less in favor of gun control than I am.

If your definition of "gun control" is hitting what you aim at, then I'm guilty.
