Democratic Committee | 9.29.01 | Me

Posted on 09/28/2001 8:46:07 PM PDT by Coleus

Freep the Diocese of Paterson, Bishop Frank J. Rodimer, DD, and the Brother Superior of Holy Face Monastery, Order of St. Benedict. Shame on Both of You. You will have to drop a dime to freep the monastery, no e mail.

Please come out to protest Jim McGreevey, Candidate for Governor, State of NJ, who will appear at a Passaic

County Democratic Picnic, John Currie County Chairman,on the grounds of the Holy Face Monastery in

Clifton, NJ, Route 3 East and Grove Street. The picnic is tomorrow - Saturday afternoon from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M..

Protesters will arrive by 12 noon. Let's give the pro-abortion politicians a warm welcome.

Fr. Peter West

************************************************* **********

Why on earth is a Roman Catholic Church renting their property to a Pro-Abortion, partial-birth abortion, Gubernatorial Candidate Jim McGreevey who, in addition, is against the parental notification amendment. According to the Council of Catholic Bishops, Churches and Catholics are not supposed to support or recognize pro-abortion candidates and politicians. Although the Monastery is owned by a religious order, the Brothers must abide by church teachings.

Ask the Bishop and the Brother Superior at the Monastery why they are allowing pro-abortion candidates to use Catholic Property for their political gain.

Sadly, on this score, it's been smouldering for years.

Don't waste your time - As a practicing Catholic, I am nauseated by the Churches' pandering to politicians like Ted Kennedy and this cretin.

If they were consistant, they would excommunicate them all - but they need the political support - brings to mind last Sundays' Gospel - about not serving two masters.

I will be on the phone first thing in the morning to the diocese. This will not stand. Semper Fi, Mike

I am calling tomorrow morning as well. Unfortunately, my reps in Passaic County are hosting this pseudo Catholic candidate at this shindig.

The catholic Church has endorsed and supported the Kennedy clan for a long time, as well as many Democratic candidates throughout the country , most of were pro choice. so what is news here?

Not true. The Church supports our government but does not endorse individual candidates for office.

The Church can't have it both ways. Either they are going to fight abortion and those who allow it or they are going to stand by and let it happen like it did in the 30's...and you all know what I am talking about. Every person in public office who claims to be a Catholic and pro-choice should be excommunicated. Period. End of sentence. Semper Fi, Mike

Ofcourse not officially, but certainly unofficially, and by frequent association and interactions, between the Church and it's favorite politicians. I think that the Church's closeness to the Kennedy clan can hardly be denied.
